Since the 1999 World Series, I have collected the 8" beanie bears commemorating the winner of each World Series. Up to 2004, they were made by "Team Beans Team ML Bears". Since 2005, they have been made by Forever Collectibles. They generally look something like this (2011 Cardinals example):

For 2006 and the recent 2012 World Series, I am missing a bear. So fear, the only thing I've been able to find for each year is a "Hoody" teddy bear made by Forever Collectibles.

Does anyone know if the original beanie bears were created? I don't know if these hoody bears were possibly replacements for the 2006/2012 seasons.

Don't know about those, but I have a few of the BamBeano Bears from around 2000 of McGwire, Sosa and Pudge Rodriguez. Nice little collectibles.

Through all of my searches for Giants World Series gear I've only seen the bear you have pictured.

That's all I have found as well. Just wondering if there was any little-known info out there about them. It's odd that there are hoody bears (instead of regulars) for those two years.

Looking at Forever Collectibles website, they still make them for events - there's one in their upcoming 2013 All-Star Game Catalog. They refer to them as "Thematic Bears." Oddly, their link to their 2012 World Series Catalog is not working, so can't check and see. For the 2013 All-Star game, they have photos of both a Thematic Bear and a Hoody Bear.

I'd try contacting them directly from the form on this page and asking them if they made Thematic Bears for 2006 and 2012 WS.
