lol I saw that on another forum I believe.

i think it should be reversed though because ponder seems to see none of the defensive players when he goes to the throw the ball and is always throwing ints.

Peterson sees all the defensive players but just doesn't care and still runs over them.

I roomed with seven Vikings fans in college; so I watched a lot of Vikes games through the years and have a ton of respect for AP. He is a freak of nature. I boggles my mind that a team can have such a dominate run game and not be able to utilize play action more effectively.

I think Ponder is an issue, but the o coordinator isn't any better.

beat one of the best teams in the league just when the Vikes needed a win to get into the playoffs......I'd say that is pretty good.

Houston was more than likely keying on the run a lot during the game. Made it easier for Ponder to pass. I'm not trying to take anything away from the guy he did have a decent game today, but is he the long term answer in Minnesota? I think not.

impressive win when it had to be done by Ponder. With the state of the NFL qb he still has upside

I'm still not sold on Ponder. Houston lacked fire the whole game from what I saw

No real comment about Ponder but yeah, the Texans looked horrible. I'm sad to say a super bowl does not seem to be in their near future. I hope I'm wrong but with this kind of crap...

I don't care who his receivers are he should be way better. They have the best RB in the game today, and eventually one of the all-time greats. He should have the easiest job as a QB in the NFL. Teams are putting 9 in the box and he still can not get it done passing.

He didn't even have that great of a game against a mediocre Houston pass defense that was keying in on the run. How does 174 yards, 1 TD on 53% passing make him good all of a sudden?

That's pretty much exactly what I said above, but people are still on Ponders nutsack.

I'm with you man. All of my old college roomates from the Twin Cities are with us to. Put Ponder on the Jags and he would look worse than Gabbert.

Damn Ponder sucks!

At least you finally admit it. I'd like to see Ponder on a team without AP and see how well he actually does. Packers had about nine in the box on every play. If it wasn't for defenses not fearing the pass, AP would have broke the record a few weeks ago IMO. It sucks he ended nine yards short.

He doesn't seem to be able to check down properly, which leaves him staring down his target too often. If he can manage to protect the ball (as he did today) he can be a serviceable QB. He had some luck with the batted passes not being intercepted and did impress me with his arm strength on the deep ball to Jarius Wright. I still don't think he's the long-term answer for the Vikings given his inability to read defenses. The o-line has been actually giving him a pocket as of late which has been helping him stay above his usual level of suckage.

That said, the play calling has left a lot to be desired this year.
