I will admit Brady had one of his worst games this season today. If he plays like that against the 49ers...we'll have to heavily rely on 49ers offensive woes. Glad he got that one out of the way

I never said the Seahawks were "low" I was arguing those that said the Bears were one of the best teams in football with their defense....but Russell Wilson made them look pitiful with 2 late scoring drives. Something Wilson did against the Pats too, I know.
But if I'm debating the Seahawks loss, I would argue that we were not yet clicking on the fast-paced offense that has made us a giant today, which is why we lost to the Cardinals too.
On a side note, thank goodness Sidney Rice is okay. I don't know who it was, but his teammate was yanking on his arm to pull him up and I was thinking "LEAVE HIM ALONE!"

I look at Russell Wilson being a 3rd round draft and what he did, with Brady being a 6th round draft and what he did..
The Seahawks have had several QB's picked in the 1st round draft that never amounted to anything.. Today's game was just amazing.. but everyone on the planet knew that Cutler was going to throw to Marshall, and he was never touched that last catch.. :benson:

So without sounding like a complete ass. Is there any debate now? I mean there are 7 minutes left but it's currently 42-7.

Add another notch into the Brady GOAT train - only QB with 10 division titles. But I'm sure someone will bring up "weak AL East" or there were 5 teams in a division back in the day...Brady baring down on Brees record too with consecutive games with TD pass.
My favorite quote of the night from Gruden - "Tom Brady has 104 touchdowns and only 20 interceptions the past 3 years. You don't even see that in arena football"

Let's hope the Eagles are hungry on the last game of the season and completely wipe them out of the playoffs. Doubtful but it would be awesome.

If you had made this thread after tonight's game I wouldn't have been able to argue much. They destroyed them and I was wrong.
However I was right in the fact that Brandon Lloyd is the only deep threat they have. 3-7 yard passes should never yield 27 yard gains. I was impressed with how ne used their game to beat down Houston.
Question I have from Houston is why not exploit the aj80 one on one right away? I would have had to get my qb tommy John surgery from throwing to him on the first drive alone!

I got nothing but big hunky man love for you Clint.About the deep threat though, why do they need it? The short passing, fast-paced, run-pounding offense is clearly working. Although they did bomb one to Stallworth tonight (ugh, I HATE that that guy is on my favorite team. UGH). They'll probably pass to him a couple times against SF too. I also noticed they tried doing a short bomb to Vereen too. I think if they really wanted to they would find a way (with play action) to get a deep pass in to anyone really. But you are right, there is no constant threat like they had with Moss.
Didn't realize until tonight that Edelman is out for the year. That hurts us too.

I still firmly believe carolina is the best team. The only reason their record is so bad is their offense, defense, and special teams. if they just changed those parts they could be in first place.

Deep threat opens up the underneath routes for one on one mismatches because your deep guy should drag 2 cover defenders with him.
They didnt need it tonight we will see if they need it against the 9ers. They have the best lbs in the NFL.

As a Pats fan we don't usually get to watch two good games in a row. It's usually a Steelers, Ravens, Broncos type team followed by the Dolphins or Bills. Its exciting to face to really good teams in a row to really test this team.
The Pats defense looks like it's doing what it did last year, where it really strengthened as the year went on.
