Is anyone doubting the Patriots are the best team in football?

I think it's a team game, in reality I think if you put Brady on the Colts and Manning on the Patriots they would have done almost the same thing in terms of wins and SB's. Peyton gets the nod from me because he seems to make the players around him better not saying Brady couldn't but he doesn't have too as much.

Also the Patriots aren't going to score 4 TD's a game on special teams and D, the last two games were anomalies.

It's funny because the Pats fans used to say Brady did more with less when Peyton had James, Harrison and Wayne while Brady was throwing to David Patten and Deion Branch.

I agree on the defensive TD's. It also helps that they were playing bad teams to make them look great.

Brady has had randy moss, Troy brown, Deion branch, Wes welker, and gronk.

I wouldn't consider those less

You could throw in a Dallas Clark in his prime too. Manning has had a lot of talent around him most of his career.

I mean before 07, back when Brady was winning super bowls. Maybe I watched too much of Brown, Branch, and Patten, but I didn't think anyone really considered them weapons. More just solid role players. They even moved Troy Brown to play cornerback more than receiver. And Branch never did anything without Brady. Hell, their best redzone tight end was Mike Vrabel.

You can definitely make the argument that the weapons Brady had in 07 were equal to the weapons Manning had, but during the superbowl years for the Pats he was forced to work with a lot less.

That said, I have no issue with people that say Manning is better than Brady. Statistically they aren't close, but I remember Brady coming up clutch more than Manning so to me that factors in.

And now in Denver manning has all those same weapons.. Negative he has one wr and a bunch of short slow white dudes.. And he's making them look like all stars!

Deckers no slouch. That's not a knock on Manning, more just a defense of Decker.

I think he is good not great, DT could be great but nobody near as good as say Reggie Wayne who is having a monster year. I would say without McGahee his offensive weapons are not nearly as good as his Colts days, and we all saw how good they were without a Luck or Peyton type QB

He is doing well in Denver. I don't think you can say he is making a wide receiver and a bunch of slow white dudes look like all stars. He is making Thomas look like an all star, but he has always had a ton of upside just no one to get him the ball. As for the slow white dudes, Manning is making them look good not like all stars. I think it is more about how bad Tebow made them look last year than how great Manning is making them look this year.

I do give him props though. He appears to be back to his old self.

Kyle Orton delivered the ball and they failed to look anything like they do now. The phrase all star was hyperbole. But they sure as XXXX look better!

Speaking of Orton I have him ranked ahead of Brady on my all time greats list......

Just wanna throw this out there, anyone who thinks the Falcons are better than the Patriots clearly has not seen them play.
Houston and SF might be better, but Atlanta no way.

I agree with this statement. I think the Bears are better than the Falcons but I think the Giants, Packers and Niners are top in the NFC

Well at the very least, if 25 people disagree with me, I brought some attention to the football boards again.
