It's called market manipulation and there was a lot of it back when Leaf was Razor.

It's when investors on eBay buy early, a week later they hit all the high BIN and don't pay, creating false sales.

It's happening right now with Panini basketball Prizm golds, and is ruining the hobby by inflating prices for us true collectors.

That isn't what's happening with those golds.

Hopefully the price doesn't go up over $200. I may have to pick up a couple cases before it does.
