Yes, hobby gripes should have its own place. Everyone knows about the issues of: unfulfilled redemptions, poor ebay buyers/sellers, missing hits, and quality control issues. These are all negative topics that pull the site down... But rather than keeping them in with the good content on the main board they should have their own board because they're still important reminders about what the hobby is like.

the one thing this place does NOT need is MORE separate areas to have posts in

Not everyone is interested in everything, and the hobby is really broad to begin with.

People are interested in what they want, not normally what someone else may be interested in. Good people generally aren't as interested in negative items.

You better add griping about photoshopped jerseys to that list.

I like to look at people's recent pickups and I check what people are trading mostly but I also enjoy just baseball talk in general. Reading about old baseball stories reminds me of being a kid and talking baseball with my grandpa. Ah the good old days

I don't like when I am using my DROID and have a New Post Quote and click on it and it takes me to my user profile and the option to go to my quotes isn't there. Annoying.

Is that to try and get people to use TapTalk or whatever? I tried it and didn't like not being able to see everyones signatures.

AND I dislike that when I post on the computer I can see my signature, but when I post on my phone, my signature doesn't show up.

I completely disagree with this. I feel that I am "good people" and there are a majority here that are also "good people". Just because many topics are around negative items in regards to the hobby has absolutely NOTHING to do with good or bad people being interested in said topics. I may not always post in many threads, but that is because if I don't have anything nice to say TO someone I won't say it. This doesn't stop me from respecting someones topic or opinion weather I agree with it or not nor if it perceived to be positive or negative. Both negative and positive items, it doesn't matter which one, is what helps people confirm their own opinion, change their opinion, or simply create other thoughts from someone elses shoes.

I've talked with several people that just lurk the boards. They say they enjoy the site but don't participate because of all the bickering and constant slamming that occurs. Do something about the repeat "offenders" and maybe the traffic will improve

i agree 100 % to much slamming people for having a different opinion. other wise i think this place is great. so many great members.

Although I really dont want to argue about this, FCB is not a prospector board, it never actually has been. If you go through the first few pages of the forum, the longest lasting and most read threads are non prospect.

It really isnt even close.

I am now going to bully you for totally wimping out.

A-ha! No braddah - not wimping out; I actually did re-read what I wrote and I initially wrote what I did while on a conference call. What I read was so un-cohesive and "all over the place," I was embarrassed by just letting it sit there. Perhaps I shall try again later when I get home :)

I just have a simple question. There is a Hobby talk - baseball section and there is a baseball transaction for buy/sell/trade section. Why is the set-builders(set needs/wants) a sub group of baseball talk and not of the b/s/t baseball transactions.
Also is there a purpose for the Trader - Info section, are we suppose to post trades there? it looks to be used sparingly.

thanks

That the number 1 rule via PM is not listed in the Terms of Services.

If mods (well, you) want to say that the #1 rule is violated then they should not say it's "don't be a dick" when the #1 rule of the TOS is different. Consistency is the key....It shows why page visits are down since the re-design...both this and Becketts...which allowed the creation of FCB.

It's like having a bunch of minos stuck in a title pool...those that want to and, with the help of others (mods/owners) will survive, it seems that those are the only ones that FCB cares about. I.E. Prospectors.

Perhaps I am wrong but FCB forums appear prospector based....Not collector. I know it doesn't say it anymore but should the slogan have really read "By collectors, for collectors" when the objective of half the members(conservative est) are only in it for money?
