I have been wanting this card for a long time, but never had the cash to pick it up when it actually came up for sale. This one came along and I thought I would be able to reel it in, but alas it eludes me again. The few time I remember seeing this card sell it always was in the 225-300 range. If it wasnt for the guy with 412 feedback it would have sold for around 250. What is strange is the underbidder has only bid on this item in the last 30 days and put 10 bids on it. So you guys think its legit? or shilled?

Looks legitimate to me. The lower feedback bidder (100% activity) was bidding until he was winning except for the last round. It's likely he just hasn't bid on anything in a while and was waiting on this card, too.

Why does everyone get so keyed up about shilling? Genuinely curious.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Freedom Card Board mobile app

Because it costs collectors money.

I don't think shilling is as rampant as everyone thinks. Just like I don't think every multicolored patch is a fake nor every high grade raw vintage card is trimmed. Just paranoia

THOSE OLDER ON CARD NICE AUTO are getting rarer and rarer. Sometimes this is the result.

Looks legit to me. Reading the OPs post, it certainly sounds like this is a card not seen all that often and he really wants it. All it takes is two other people to feel the same way and with that card, I don't think it's too hard to find at least two other people to get into a bidding war.

I figured it wasnt shilled, just figured they are not showing up as often so that was why the price jump. What did seem odd is that the underbidder hasnt bid on anything else in the last month but then bids on this card 10 times. Just seems like that if this is a card that he has been hunting for then why not throw one big bid on it? I had a snipe set for 400, thought that would get it easily. I was of course wrong.

I thought I had a shot at $230. Sick card an I agree with what jcmint is saying. It's a really collectible older card with two legendary Braves.

I forgot this is the first one of these I have seen since Chipper retired. Maybe that has something to do with it?
