I can't argue with Bo Jackson, saw him in his prime! And he was a stud! Someone said Deion was better, that is funny as hell! I would have loved to see deion try to tackle Jackson.Deion was scared to tackle his own shadow!

In all seriousness, I like Andy Silva up there. As an MMA fan, I can appreciate how awesome his MW title run is and considering it continues in his late 30's.

Adrian Peterson should be on that list in future as well.

If I had to guess Id say they picked Jackson because as we know ESPN does no research and picks players they remember. In my opinion he was not the greatest athlete of all time, Id put Jim Brown, Jim Thorpe and Jackie Robinson all ahead of him.

He's a great athlete everyone on that list is an amazing athlete, but I'm not sure how he beat Jackie. I guess purely on the fact he broke the color barrier but I'm not sure how that makes him better. Not knocking Jackie just surprised when it came down to a baseball player vs another baseball player Jackie beat out Willie. Some consider Willie the greatest of all-time

Jackie was a 4 sport star at ucla. Baseball, basketball, football, and track. I would wager his performance at the highest college level gave him the same boost Jim brown got for being a lacrosse stud.

It should have been Jackie Robinson or Jim Brown. It's important to remember that most of the people who vote in ESPN polls are morons with no knowledge of history who think World War II is a video game sequel.

I think people are getting "best" and "best athlete" confused. If anyone but Bo won this, it would have been laughable.

Since when do you/we believe that being a great lacrosse player, is that same as being a great PROFESSIONAL Major League baseball player?

Its about being an athlete which Jim Brown was doesnt matter if he was a pro. One could argue it takes mor of an athlete to play lacrosse than it does baseball.

I know he was a star in track I've read about how good he was but his major sport he wasn't an incredible baseball player, he was good not GREAT. But anyways this argument can go either way, all those guys on that list were there for a reason and deserved to be there.
