A couple of quick ones while I have a moment:

#1) I'm sure you all know this (I'm usually the last to see), but since no one shared yet, maybe there's one out there who hasn't. Leaf is selling this direct via ebay. There are apparently 70 made (according to them). Its the base card of that leaping Rickey near 2nd base that I've seen a ton of autos for. The card is reasonably priced (I thought) at $4.99. Some still available. <ebay>230929751453</ebay>

#2) I was doing some basic research...and doesn't anyone find it odd that there seem to be so many Rickey swatch and memorabilia cards of Dodgers, Angels, and Blue Jays uniforms? He only played 30 games, 32 games, and 44 games respectively for each. Did he change jerseys every half-inning and sell 9 at the end of each game? It just seems strange to me.

#3) That Adam Eaton thing is funny. The lost museums, APs, etc is not funny. Hopefully you find them soon. The BS pulled by the Topps Employee card is BS too. REVOLT!

Go Phillies in 2013!

I agree that it is odd about the jerseys. I am always skeptical about this crap too and wonder if Topps in particular just uses a generic jersey for everyone. Most jersey swatches from Topps seem to be plain white so I personnaly think they "share" them, we would never know anyway.

Does anyone know what set this pin is from, it is numbered 254? I picked this up earlier in the week from a seller. I kind of looks like the 1981 Fleer card. I have a smaller one with a similar picture that I picked up a few weeks ago and that too is numbered differently.

Hey guys,

Not sure if any of you saw the 2001 Topps Employee on Ebay last night, I sent the seller a message and made him an offer which he accepted. I paid Paypal as a gift as he requested. Today without any notice, I have a refund in my inbox, with the explanation that I put a comment in the Gift message and they charged him the fees. (BS). My refund was for the total plus the fees. Challenged him on it, and now he's playing the "I'll relist it on Ebay". Sellers remorse. Not sure if any of you guys offered on it, but I'm just putting it out there. Seller ID poloboyclh4et7

Not cool in my book at all....

Definitely not cool! If you or anyone else here is planning to bid, I would be a little "careful." The seller has perfect feedback, but based on the interaction above, as well as the fact that their was a bid retraction, it looks a bit shady. It was from a brand new bidder, who has 0 feedback, and whose only bid was $110 on the Rickey (later retracted), because he "entered the wrong amount." He also never placed the "correct" bid, and seems to just be trying to figure out how high the other bidders have placed their bids. I'm really glad I just picked one of these up last week, and don't have to deal with this. Good luck everyone!

47 bucks? I bought all the Henderson employee cards on the Beckett site a few years ago for a few bucks apiece. I do think his card prices are inflated many times now which is unfortunate for us Rickey collectors. I think a few people have jumped on the wagon since he made the HOF.

His prices are still on the uptick. I find that a lot of times, the price I have as the max I would be willing to spend is getting blown out of the water. So I just have to sit back and try to work out trades, or somehow find a deal.

On that particular card, (now that the auction is over) I had offered the seller 10 dollars shipped. He agreed and I paid in 2 minutes, literally. But overnight I would imagine he got some emails with $$ and he realized that there was an opportunity to make 3.5 times the money. So he screwed me. I haven't been able to catch any Ebay deals like I used to....

I blame it on having giant Rickey fan threads on websites... :D

Isn't it supposed to be a prime jacket, and not a prime patch? That would be my opinion. I am going with fake. Cool looking though.
