A big Thank You goes to Chris for letting me post information about my company and product. I started Pastime Card Company to provide collectors with exciting products in various sports and non sports niches. The most important thing to me is providing customers with value. When you open a product from Pastime Card Company you will not be left with a sick feeling in your stomach. Our total production runs are limited in order to have value spread across the entire product, not just one or two lucky boxes. Currently there are original (non sports) products being planned and finalized, as well as unique packaged sports memorabilia products. With that being said, I would like to introduce you to our debut release, 2013 Pastime Collection: HOF Signed Card Edition. This product is set to release on Wednesday, May 15. Right now pre-orders from the public are being accepted, but are extremely limited. The rest will be going to dealers and distributors. There are only 100 boxes, 20 total cases.

Weren't the "points" cards a major issue that many had with another recent startup company?

The difference with Pastime Points versus the other points is that Pastime Points are actually redeemable for physical products, not just a chance at winning something. Pastime Points work as an incentive for opening any of our products. They can be combined and redeemed for autographed memorabilia. Below is the Pastime Points Program that will be launched when the product debuts:

Our Pastime Points program was designed to reward collectors who open any of our product releases. Inside each box is one Pastime Points card with a denomination of 100 – 2,500. Pastime Points cards can be combined and redeemed for autographed memorabilia. Below you will find the current Pastime Points Program.

500 Points – HOF Signed 8X10 Photo
1,000 Points – HOF Signed MLB Baseball
2,500 Points – Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, or Joe DiMaggio Signed 8×10 Photo
5,000 Points – Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, or Joe DiMaggio Signed Baseball

Please note that the player(s) you receive will be random. We cannot guarantee a specific player as supply is limited.

It is bad enough that it is a repackaged product, it is even worse that it has the point element as well.

I respect your opinion on repackaged products, but I don't see the problem with having a point element that actually gets you autographed memorabilia. Pastime Points are like rewards. You buy a case and you are guaranteed at minimum a HOF signed photo with 500 points. Or you can get a 2,500 Pastime Points card from a single box and send it in for a Mickey Mantle signed 8x10 photo. It's set in place to reward those customers who open any of Pastime Card Company's products.

I am quite sure it will sell out since its only 100 boxes, and I'm sure people will have fun opening it.

I just expect to see a lot of $5-10 ip/ttm autos coming out of this from the pics on your website.

Good luck with your original products in the future.

What pictures are you talking about?

I can assure you there isn't a plethora of Bobby Doerr or Monte Irvin signatures in this product.

here's a crazy thought, instead of spending money on a "points" program, put the stuff in the actual product as redemptions. make the product better with those pieces.

I do wish you luck...

There are memorabilia redemptions included as well. The image above isn't the sales sheet, just some basic information about the product itself.

Everyone has their shot. Funny thing is - the trick is clarity of product inclusions.

True. I should have posted the actual sales sheets, but I am here to answer any questions and complete product information is available on the website.

Oh no no. I wasn't blasting you at all. I checked out the site, and the price point is much better than the other products like this. If I had $225 I'd get 1.

This product looks very interesting to me. Not sure why the bashing of the points. These points are NOT taking the place of a card like in HOS. I wish the OP luck!
