Ok, school me, what does eBay have to do with the value of BB cards? Whatever happened to a price guide like Beckett?

it was a joke, that I collect anything with ebay value so you guys could give me free stuff and I could sell it on ebay


and most card values are now based of actual ebay sales not beckett value. beckett may say a card is worth $300 and youd be lucky to get $25 for it, and on the other hand there are some rare inserts that list in beckett for $20 and could sell for $500

eBay is more indicative of what people pay since it is, more often than not, what people actually pay. Beckett is outdated, especially for older cards.
