14 matt kemp autos from last year, most if not all are at a year or more. included in the 14 cards: 2 versions of 2012 tribute auto purple 1/1, mays/kemp dual heritage auto, 2012 ginter red auto, museum silver black gold autos, 5 star dual mlb logo auto w/ethier...thanks topps! If Kemp isn't going to sign, why are there redemptions in 2013 tribute?

Wow. I give you a lot of credit. If go NUTS.

Also, I wouldn't wait by the mailbox for the Mays dual. I've heard he won't sign items with other players or something? Others know more than me but he was the hang-up on those gold signed baseballs from last year.

I was actually told by Topps once that they hadn't even offered a contract to a guy with redemptions out...from 2 years ago.

When asked what affirmative steps they had taken to fulfill the card and contact the player for a contract, I was told that they had made no attempts, would not do so and that it just wasn't going to happen.

Honestly, I like some of their products, but I am nothing more than an impulse blaster box buyer. They have zero money from me outside of that, the rest of my money goes only to secondary market cards, and frankly, their crappy treatment of customers and the good name that they've inherited has really made me lose interest in card collecting actively.

I waited over a year for a Joe Morgan Museum from 2011 Marquee. It seemed a safe bet at the time, Joe signs/ed a lot. Finally requested a replacement of someone "of the same level" and got Jay Bruce, which I actually was OK with, though I would've preferred a Bench or Carlton or Schmidt. Maybe I should've specified. I haven't seen any Morgan Museums produced, and he's signed for Panini and Leaf since 2012. Although, there are Morgan redemptions in a couple 2013 Topps products.

Topps has know for over a year that Kemp wasn't going to sign, yet they still put him in a 2013 product? WOW.

Problem is, even demanding replacements can be a lost cause... I know several who have requested replacements and have still waited months.

I cannot imagine thos ois legal..BG

2008 Andrea Moreas and 2009 Cat Osterman were the same.
The story goes--Osterman was upset that she was included prior to being contacted, refused to sign due to the low-ball price of the contract, and finally was pressed into signing by fans. Replacement items were sent to redemption holders and 6-months after the holder also received the Osterman. The Red Inks were replaced with $200+ boxes and the cards were never sent out. Topps confirmed (yes I have the email) that the Red Inks were not being made since high end replacements had been executed. Due to replacement and emails PSA removed Osterman from the Red Ink set.....however, they were made and slipped out and I acquired 2, I have never seen any others.

Moreas was similar to Osterman but said F-up Topps----never signed or provided event used materials, he offered to sign for fans who missed out. The Moreas Auto redemptions were selling $150-250 and Relic Redemptions $75-100+ but Beckett listed him as a common so the replacements was.......well junk compared to what people paid. Mark Sapier's comments to me regarding this card, "We go by Beckett and don't worry about the secondary market." I explained to him that in this particular case that Beckett was really wrong and he said tough.

In 2011 Nick Jacoby, codebreaker, claimed that he was not contacted about signing until after the product went live.

I assume if someone were industrious they could get the complete story on the A&G non-baseball hold outs and find out how the processes went down start to finish.
