They better convert him to TE or Hback. No way should they use him as a QB, even if its just for some wildcat snaps.

Great move by the Pats IMO.

No downside at all, mostly 'cuz the media circus won't bother them and will even die down quickly when the team doesn't play into it, but tons of Upside. Tebow, for all his throwing flaws is a proven Winner and will be welcomed in that Locker room and be used wisely by the Coaches...

He won't take a single snap @ QB. Do you really see them taking Brady off the feel so they can run a wildcat play?

If his fans got all frumpy when he couldn't take snaps from mark Sanchez.. How the hell are they going to feel now? Can I expect to hear "coach hoody isn't giving tebow a fair chance" or "Tim tebow is a better qb than Peyton manning and Tom Brady" ..

I'm a huge Tebow fan. I love this move. It's great for Tim and for the Pats. Even the craziest Tebow fan wouldn't expect him to start for the Pats, so this takes all the pressure off, gets Tim the NFL job that he should have, gets him with the two coaches in the NFL that had a vision for how to use him, and kills the media circus because the Pats won't have it. Perfect situation. Belichick will find a way to use him and even if he doesn't it's not like anyone is going to question why they are starting Brady over Tebow. There was a fair argument over Tebow and Sanchez, but there's no room for a debate with Brady.

And "Len Bias overdosing" just became second worst thing to happen to Boston sports.

He was a high school QUARTERBACK that won a state championship as a QUARTERBACK...He won 2 National Championships and a Heisman Trophy as a QUARTERBACK...He won a playoff game as a QUARTERBACK in which he THREW the ball for the game winning TD...

I think...based on all that info...HE CAN BE A PRETTY DAMN GOOD QUARTERBACK!

You had me convinced until you went all gutter mouth and said the "D" word. Tebow would not approve.

Tim Tebow is a wonderful athlete and a great addition to most teams.

He's not and will never be a professional starting qb on a championship contending team. But I'd have him on my team if I could.

Ozzie smith had a world series home run. What's your point?
