Just got the call from my aunt. My grandma passed away at 4 pm this afternoon. She was 90 yrs old.

By the way, here is a scan of my latest JL edition.

It is a 1916 printing of The Turtles of Tasman. I really like the embossed, color imprint cover. This is a tough to find book of his, in any vintage edition. This is one of the few books of his I have never read, so looking forward to starting this one this weekend.

Got it for less than $20, too.

Thanks for all the thoughts guys. I knew it was coming, but its never easy. We were fairly close as I was named after my grandpa and even with alzheimer's, she always gave me a big smile when I went to see her. She will be missed alot.

I didn't know that the US had flood insurance. No such thing in Canada (for decades anyway)
But the Federal and Provincial governments will pay for most repairs.

The first cash cards will go out next week....$1250 for adults and $500 for children
We're unaffected, luckily.
