Woo. Arod hit a homerun against a double a pitcher. I need his rc right away. Prospect watch is on. I side with MLB and he needs to fade away for 2 years.

LOL. At 46 years old I don't think I have ever heard a hit like that. This is over hundreds of pro games. Not sure but I think he may be in the top 5,000 or so for career homeruns. Of course this is coming from a Yankees and ARod non-fan.

Of course he takes it, what else can he do?

With all that free time? Keep having sex with creepy anorexic muscle women, I guess.

CNBC just reported that MLB offered A-rod a deal that if he is suspended for all of this year and next year without pay he could come back for the 2015 season. I guess that's better than a lifetime ban. What do you guys think should he take it? Here is a link from the NY Post: If Alex Rodriguez doesn't seek settlement with MLB, Bud SeligXis expected to pursue lifetime suspension X - NY Daily News

just heard on wfan in new York that if he takes the deal, the Yankees are going to invoke the interigy of the game clause. then void his contract.

This was all the rage on NESN the day before CNBC reported it.

Don't go there, champ. No team can claim to be innocent. How about Melky, Mota, and the '12 Giants? Or any Ortiz/Manny team? I know everyone likes to pile on the NYY bashing bandwagon, but no one will be as happy to see ARod gone as Yankee fans.

I hope they drop the hammer on him big time. I'm also interested in the other names and expect that we'll hear something on those today or tomorrow also. My guess is everyone involved gets at least what Braun got.

It's not the last 25 years.. It's the last 50 years.

I'm still telling you that if he gets the chance to appeal he will have a fighting shot. All this suspending him under the CBA is going to weaken the leverage of the union and seemingly void the drug policy they signed with baseball. So that seems to be a slippery slope for MLB.

Anything Bosch puts out will be subject to his character getting roached by the lawyers. They can use MLBs description of the "dr" against them. Especially if the texts and emails they supposedly have are in code or with no context.

It sounds like arod ain't scared to let it linger and it sounds like MLB isn't scared of arod..

All I know is this is why the steroid issue in baseball is a joke. The league needs to follow the steps they set forth and keep this stuff from leaking. It makes them look 100x worse.

And any the Yankees won with Pettitte and Clemens. Oh wait, Pettitte only did it one time.

And what team did Clemens play for originally? Thats right the team that had to cheat to break a curse. Great point thanks for pointing it out.

I think it's been very well documented that the vast majority of the late 90's and early 2000's Yankees teams were full of juicers. Mitchell report names at least 8-10 players on those WS teams, not to mention the unnamed players who were clearly on something (like Clemens). Nice try on the Sox-Clemens connection, except no one on the 2004 team was there when Clemens was there.

Except the Red Sox don't win anything without Manny or Ortiz.

Point being, as I said earlier, no one is innocent and no team is untouched by the PED thing. And if you want to go back in time, greenies and the like were a problem no one recognized or cared to address.

I'm happy baseball is trying to clean up the sport and level the playing field for everyone. Let's see if it actually works this time.
