I don't agree with you or anyone else that it's so bad here. I have made that clear. That is the disconnect you seem to be experiencing.

No one said it's "so bad" here, but - at times - it's pretty ridiculous. It's ironic that you talk about a disconnect, too, since you have been totally missing the point of policy enforcement.

The rules are staying the same as they have been.

I have never once in all my time here thought to myself "This place really is getting bad." The thought has never crossed my mind, as FCB is the same as it's always been, just with less people for some reason. Some of you see a couple bad threads or a couple bad apples and act like the sky is falling.

You're confusing "tighter moderation" for "making more rules" when it means "stronger enforcement of established regulations."
You've been doing that since your first post in this thread.

Semantics. It will still be DIFFERENT than it was before the thread was created. It's really not a big deal to me. I'm just stating my opinions. It's not as though I'm freaking out. If it gets bad here, there are other places to go. That's not a threat or anything, just a reality.

It's not semantics. There's a thread for the Terms of Service that contains the rules and regulations for the forum. The only "unwritten rule" is "don't be a dick."
Those are not changing. They will just start being enforced MORE closely.

Funny thing is... as crude as you can be - I don't know if I frequently see you go into threads just to start something. <3

I prefer to replace "crude" with outlandishly awesome!

My ADHD and general aloofness really don't allow me to hold onto dislike! So it's usually thread to thread.. Except with a certain member who called my wife a fat troll. That XXXXs burnt into my murder bank!

I mean it's all talk and conjecture until we see a clear cut example of a post that was once allowed under the rules but will now be "tightened up"

Show us examples of posts that will no longer be tolerated?

It's hard to do this without having someone screaming "Well why wasn't it done, then?!?!?!"
If a person's only post in a thread is to crap on a thread that is not meant for debate (ie. Showing off a collection, talking about going to a game, etc), then that's a pretty clear cut definition of what probably won't be tolerated.

I just read through this whole thread...and it seems like this thread has become exactly what Chris is trying to prevent or tighten up...He said one same thing and it exploded into a whole thread that shouldn't be more than a couple pages long at most.

I am all for tightening things up a little bit :)

Don't look at your post count...Just make your posts count :)

Discretion is the key. This post in this thread where it is understood that Weimer means no harm is ok.

This post in a thread started by a newbie without the obviously implied jest would earn a warning.

Weimer doing this here - in this manner - is using somewhat proper discretion.

Well every ADMIN and MOD in this thread has echoed the same in that : The rules are not changing they are just being buckled in a little.

Is this correct? If so, me and NYC and SCT and I'm sure others are confused and a few recent examples would be helpful.

Like has been mentioned before, this is a very clean site and comparatively speaking a board of rainbows and soft, sweet rain drops
