Austin romine & JR Murphy getting major love on YES

Just a heads up in case you want to list them, but both guys were getting MAJOR love from YES and the announcers today.

With romine, during the game AND rain delay they were talking about how greatly improved romine has been hitting his last 16 starts behind the plate.

And even though Murphy only had one at bat (his first) they couldn't stop showing him or his family after he got a hit. They even gave him the "drive of the game" award and interviewed him later.

and this is news because...? It's YES, so it's the announcers job to ass-kiss any NYY roster player or NYY organization player.

If a YES announcer was ass kissing a Red Sox or other opponents player, then they are asking to be fired.

If they didn't hype their prospects to their fans watching their game with their other yankees fans, they would be out of a job.

I dont think either of those two will have much MLB impact, though Murphy seems to have a nice zeal and excitement you like to see.

Well, I think his point is that the hype is being applied to the fan-base. And there are few more susceptible fan-bases than New York teams'.

Hype sells cards of young players at no faster rate than in ny.

So the "news" is that perhaps the fcb family might want to get any cards of these two ready to be listed and don't be shocked if they sell much better than a few days ago.

I don't think anyone is really going to go nuts, but both Romine and Murphy have a decent shot to be everyday catchers, for a lot of teams. Not too many Yadiers out there. The hobby love isn't such a bad thing, now is it?
