Hey guys,

I was wondering if you could help me on something. I found this MJ card in my PC that I totally forgot I had. However, since I'm more of a baseball guy, I know nothing about it. Is there anyone here who can help me with the rarity and value of this card?? I would greatly appreciate any help! (Also, if you think it's worth submitting for a grade judging by the scans). Thanks in advance!

1998-99 E-X Century Dunk 'N Go Nuts Michael Jordan #15
Dunkin Donuts has the word "dunk" in it. Basketball players regularly perform dunks. I get it. Collectors do too as this popular card sells well despite appearing at a rather reasonable 1:720 packs.

Did a quick google search and found that. I'm not sure what sells well means in terms of $$$ but it is a very cool card. I love Dunkin' Donuts!

Two currently on eBay. Both BGS 10. One is listed at 950 and the other 999.

The scan looks clean, but in the end it is still a scan that tells little in the hands of a professional grader. Could be a 10, or a 8.5...

9.5's are selling for around $300 and you would probably be seeing less than raw for a 9.0 or less. Personally, I would only grade it if it were for the PC, if selling I would sell raw.

That makes sense now that you put it that way. Thanks a bunch, you've been a huge help!!

These cards are acetate so they are generally in good shape. That said, a 9 would sell for what a raw would, a 9.5 will carry a small premium and a 10 Pristine (which are not rare for this card) would be about double the raw price for a normal player stretching to 3X for a guy like Jordan.

If you were me, would you submit? I'm thinking about sending it into BGS. Obviously I'm not a grader and know little compared to them, but I personally think the card is in amazing shape.

It's your call. So much can be missed in scans.

Personally, im not a big grading/BGS fan. If you are looking to sell this at ANY POINT (whether now or in 20 years) I would go ahead and get it graded with a Minimum Grade of 9.5. Most people won't even touch a high dollar Jordan insert unless it is slabbed. These are good, but mid-level so it might be different but getting it slabbed is more peace of mind for the NEXT guy....and basically locks you into a resell price level in the future.
