My brother received this uncut superfractor sheet from Topps that has some key players like Jeter, Rivera, Cano, Middlebrooks RC, Trout, and Pujols. This uncut sheet is from 2012 Bowman Chrome. Trying to figure out possible value on this sheet and whether or not to frame it. Large sheet that looks nice with a bit of creasing at the base. Trying to upload some photos. There are 110 cards on this uncut sheet - all superfractors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It was from performance points and purchase points on the old Etopps program. He just never redeemed them. They still run the catalog once in a while. The back of the cards all say 'Refractor' as all versions did I believe. On the back of each card it has the usual stats and information.

Seriously topps? After all of the negative talk about the 2010 sheets, and them saying at the summit they were aware of the issue their solution is to just give them away now for points?

Op nothing to do with you, and nice pick up just this is so dumb to release these.

I was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to rain on his parade.

Re: Looking for some help on valr this awesome looking uncut bowman chrome superfractor sheet

It's one thing when these type of sheets get backdoored. It's TOTALLY COMPLETELY another when topps purposely gives these out.

One day, someone somewhere will get serial number stamps which are identical to the real ones and ruin these, oranges, golds, blues, etc.

I am thinking in the $150 - $200 range.

With all due respect, if this were properly cut and sold off as individual cards, I don't think $150-200 is even remotely close to the value here. I also think uncut, that people would pay more than $200, planning to cut them and sell them off individually.

This is easily $1,000+ sold off individually and that is being completely honest about where the cards came from and that they are not numbered on the back.

The star power on here is tremendous and I don't think it's unreasonable for him to expect $50-75+ for most of the major stars and certainly $100+ on the Trout. Collectors of these players would want these. They may only have their #'d 1/1 counterpart to this and if I don't have $400+ to dole out on guys like Jeter, I'd be happy to take this one on in my collection instead. They are certainly conversation pieces and I think many people would push the price on these upward.

I don't know. Maybe I'm delusional?

I agree that if cut and sold individually one may see $750 - $1000 (before expenses). However, when you take in to account all the fees associated with that, not to mention the cost for the process of actually cutting them, I just do not see anyone willing to offer more than ~$200 on the gamble. I think you may be confusing what they all 'could' potentially sell for individually after being professionally cut, but that is still a far cry from what it actually is now. I know if it were me, I would sell it for $150 - $200 in a heartbeat.

Is it something he wants to sell ? If so I'd be interested

Ryan

I think he would be interested in selling it, however, I think he is trying to gauge value.

Not exactly sure what he is going to do with it but I don't think he wants it to end up cut up and resold as fake one of one superfractors. It is definitely a unique piece. I didn't think it would cause anger out of some folks, but I can see the reasoning behind it. Folks have money invested in legit one of one superfractors and this could cause some issues. This sheet doesn't have 1/1 superfractor printed on the backs of the cards. They just state 'refractor' under the card numbers. I didn't mean to start another 'screw Topps' thread. I do appreciate everyone's feedback.

So he needs a really good cutter and a really good serial number stamper machine... still, probably yield a great ROI

I can't believe you guys are actually suggesting that he cut this up and attempt to sell them individually. People do enough eyebrow-raising things in this hobby.
