Absolutely sick. Hopefully this scum gets what he deserves in prison.

RIP.

I really hope he doesn't play, for his sake. It's his child. I don't know if he'd forgive himself for not mourning. It's not like Favre playing after his father died. AP most likely just had a piece of his soul ripped out. I would rather that the Vikings win the game for him instead. Yes, I, a Packer fan, will be pulling for the Vikings this weekend. As a father of a young child, I don't even know if I could function is something like this happened.

I just fear that AP is putting his feelings in the wrong place and that he'll regret it.

I hope he plays. Certainly would be a nice distraction from the reality of having lost a child, just like I went to work two days after my mom died because I was sick and tired of sitting around and thinking about her death. Going to work for 8 hours was a great distraction and more productive and accomplishng for me and also indirectly honored my mom by displaying work ethic/pride that she and dad instilled in me.

This is one of those cases where everybody failed this kid. Adrian has had as much association with the dead child as he would have with any random 2 year on the street. I find it sad that Adrian thinks playing is okay. In his mind, why should he not play on Sunday? His only regret seems to be with having his name linked with this tragedy. He recently learned this was his child and has been keeping it a secret.

I really do hope that's how it turns out for him mentally, if he decides to play. I guess I'm just worried that the loss of a 2-year-old would be so much more destructive to your soul than the loss of a parent, which you can, in some way, admit should happen eventually. No one should have a child die before them.

So sad & unreal to me. And as far as him playing I don't even see how he could. If I lost my son I wouldn't be able to even function

Sounds like you're pretty close to the situation. Why didn't you do anything more to help?

They do say that once you have your own family (wife or husband and children) that the death of a parent or sibling is much easier to deal with than the death of your significant other or child. I would feel so lost if my wife or daughter was taken from me.

To start I think the death of this child is horrible and the man responsible should be stoned. I am highly annoyed with all of the press around AP. From what I understand he didn't even meet this child. Yes, it is horrible, but it is not like he was involved with this child from day one, like all of us on this board who have children.

If anything I feel more horrible for the child's mother and family and AP because he will be haunted with the guilt for the rest of his life for never knowing his son.

Just found a report that stated he was just informed about 2 months ago he was his son. He was planning a trip to meet him soon but sadly when he went to the hospital while he was on life support was the first time he met him.

Sounds like he didn't even know this was his son until 2 months ago so your words are pretty harsh under the circumstances.,

So was this kid's mom a longtime gf, or just a cleat chaser?

Not sure I was wondering if he's married to the mother of his 2 children. If so that would mean he cheated on his wife when he hooked up with this lady & that may be why she never told him about his son.
