I presume this has happened before sometime in playoff history?I don't ever recall it happening, but I'm only in my 30's.A very odd line, 0 hits, 6 walks, and 12 strikeouts.Due for a combined no hitter sooner or later?Albequerqe (what an awesome name) on for a hitless 7th inning.

He was at 116 pitches. No use leaving him in regardless of the no hitter. Maybe they would have let him stay out there during the regular season.

can't wait for the bot 9th inning when any pitch a BOS hitter takes will be called a strike if it's anywhere within 12 inches of the plate!

;)

Probably right.I haven't seen a combined no hitter since the Astros did it in '03, much less one in the playoffs. All those walks and strikeouts really elevated his pitch count in a hurry.

Really doubt that, but you're entitled to your opinion.

Yeah, he was lucky to get through 6. Don't see a guy with a no no going get pulled often.

The Mariners did it last year against the Dodgers.

If he was at 116 pitches through 8 innings I'm sure he would have stayed in the game.

Nope. Only two no-hitters have ever been thrown in postseason history... Larsen (perfect game) & Halladay.

Just saw that. But thought a starter might have been removed from playoff game without giving up a hit at some point or another (without no hitter completed).

80% of pitchers who lose a no hitter with no score or a 1/0 score in the game ( 6th inning and beyond ) also lose the game.
