I found all of those videos hilarious.

I just don't think I'd want the Cardinals doing that. Just because one time it's going to end poorly.

I enjoy watching guys have fun with each other like that. They are playing a kids game...

it's not a kids game at that level. It's a cut-throat business of multimillionaires and near millionaires. I forget the player and the team, but in a game in 2013, the final ball in play was a fly out. It should have been easily caught but it fell in for a hit and the game-winning run scored on the play. that fielder who missed catching the fly ball was demoted to Triple-A after the game.

For the rangers, I don't think Beltre and Andrus have anything to worry about right now. Neither have declining skills that means they have no business playing baseball anymore and the Rangers have so much contract money invested in them that if they do foul up and have an error while goofing off, they won't be released or demoted to Triple-A.

It's only a kids game in Little League, high school and college, before money and the need to perform to stay on rosters and not get released makes it a business.

Don't completely disagree with you. I obviously understand the business aspect of it. Players should obviously take a business like attitude. They should be working their tails off at all times. But once it's game time, that's when they get to show all the hard work they have put in in the offseason and practices. During games, that's when they get to go have fun and compete. I've heard multiple mlb players comment on how they play a kids game. Just because it's a business, that doesn't change the heart of the game.
