W590's were cards kids bought in strips. They came in rows of ten (1x10's) or five rows of five (5x5's). They were usually cut apart. Movie actors and actresses, and other athletes were included in the series.

I was excited to add my first Maranville as a Chicago Cub! He only played with the Cubs in 1925, so this is an early W590 - the series ran for 7 years. Rabbit has another pose as a Boston Brave.

Thanks for the info. It makes the pickup even better!

I gave up owning a cell phone when I retired and stopped traveling 20+ weeks out of the year and have sent a total of 3 texts in my entire life.
My wife, on the other hand.......;)

Funny
I'll NEVER own another apple product
;)
(Or Sony)

Morning

I own nothing but Apple, outside if my laptop. I love the fact that every device I pick up is synced with everything I need on it. Two iPods, iPhone and iPad.

I don't talk on the phone, to anyone. I send about 3,000 text/iMessage a month, on top of instant messages through other media. I simply don't enjoy a voice conversation with people.

Geez.

I basically have a phone for emergencies. Nobody calls me, nor do I call anyone. I do text a few people though.

I also have data, which comes in handy.

Good afternoon everyone. Wife took care of the kids this morning and let me sleep in since i was up til almost two listing cards. Its a ton of work to do, and i only had about 150 cards. Cant imagine dealing with thousands. BTW, if you guys were looking for Bagwells to fill sets, feel free to search my listings. http://www.ebay.com/usr/astrobag5

20 hr of OT is in our schedule these days. They're taking volunteers for Sunday this week. Sundays are double time, but that's not enough for me. Sundays are family time for me and I'll pass on $40/hr to spend time with my family for the day. Just not worth it, IMHO.

A guy I work with always has "stories" about his 4 y/o daughter.....the other day she hid pancakes w/ syrup in his shoes because she was full. She has cut her brothers hair several times, hid finger nail polish to later apply to her arms etc. She is a modern mircale that was born at 25 weeks and is healthy as a horse; hard to get really mad at her, right?

Well today while "watching cartoons" she decided to spray paint the couch......before you say it we are all thinking it (how did she get sparay paint).

Happy Weekend!

I use about 12 gigs of data each month as well. Thankful I have unlimited everything.

I have my Samsung S2. Best feature? Ebay. Easy to take a picture and list an item. Good camera too. Totally replaced my regular digital camera.

And I have an iPad 2. Best feature? Buying off ebay and FCB.

I actually didn't do as well as I thought. Caught a message from someone else who tracks them, and it looks like I overpaid by about $15. :( It kind of evens out, because I got my Campy for about 50% what they normally go, though.

As far as letting it go, I have a huge glove, hat, cleat (less used GU) PC going that I had been wanting these for... but it's also one of the last 4 someone else was looking for so they'd have first shot if I did end up getting rid of it.

See my post where I had mad money to spend today? First card I went to go pick up was that Nellie. After watching it for 2 months - Poof it was gone the day I had the money. Had to cross it off top of my list. I laughed when I saw it posted.

My sad Post-It note :(

@A-Pharis - keep it, another will show. That one I mentioned was a fluky sale though. I would have gave full asking price if I would have had to. You did fine.
