I still wonder what anyone is doing with their slabs or one touches to actually damage a card's edges inside. Are we talking a simple accidental drop?

I have never had a single card damaged in a one touch. The one PSA card (Graded 10) that I own has several spots on the edges and corners where white is showing, so either the case damages the cards, or their grading is shoddy. I'm going with the latter.

Two cards. The left is the old slab the right is the new.

The best part, and those with piles of psa slabs can relate, the stack doesn't have that "lean"

Old on left new on right

Very cool PSA now has a case that can't be messed with. That is sealed same way BGS case is
Anyone heard when they are running a reholder special.

Next PSA will "revolutionize graded card holders" and offer a "premium level of protection" by making inner sleeves standard in all slabs.

Back in the day, PSA slab collectors liked to rip Beckett for their use of the internal card sleeve, saying anything from "it distorts the image of the card" to "it damages the card" or other some such nonsense.

They started using these at the National. The new slabs leave so much room for movement that one prominent PSA customer paid to have his 300+ card order re-cased in the old slabs because he said after having them in the slab for a day they were already showing edge damage. I just shipped a big order off to PSA so we'll see how the slabs look when they come back.

This is untrue. I have over 200 in the new slabs from my last sub I just got back last week and there is no problem. They also did not start using them at The National. You were either misinformed or you're intentionally lying for some unknown reason.

For what its worth, just checked and the 4 cards I received last week from Jeff's group sub are in the new holders. Now I don't handle "hundreds" of PSA slabs at a time but I've owned a bunch and I didn't even notice these were the new slabs. Hopefully that eases the mind of some of you OCDer's fears

Agree. I always laugh when people think a card is going to get damaged n PSA case. Never seen it. I have even shook one as hard as I can and nothing. With 1/10 of one inch it can move with corners cut out. It's pretty much impossible. I have more fear in BGS plastic sleeve denting card if has imperfections. Or sleeve sticking or oils from it spotting cards, esp Crome cards our affecting auto. BGS seem to have a lot of pressure on card surface. I'm glad PSA and SGC don't do it.
