From a variation of a thread I did over at Brewerfan.net, give me the five things you want to see from your team in 2014?

Team: Brewers

1. Ryan Braun Returning In Normal Form (we have a whole slew of issues if that money spent leads to average output)
2. Jimmy Nelson or Tyler Thornburg to take a step forward
3. For Aramis Ramirez to stick in the lineup and ultimately have some trade value
4. For Clint Coulter to live up to at least some of the talent (the results from first-round picks is killing us)
5. For Jean Segura not to regress on defense

-------------------------------------------------------
Template for you.....

Team:

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Same thing I posted on Brewerfan.

Team:Brewers

1. Peralta to progress and become more consistent.
2. Braun to come in keep his mouth shut and fall in line behind the new leadership on this team.
3. Yo to right the ship, and get back to form.
4. Weeks to bounce back some in a platoon role with Scooter.
5. Gomez to not regress too much. I see him coming back to earth some. I just hope it isn't a free fall.

Team: Yankees

1. Sabathia and Tex come back and perform well

2. Boston flops after the fluke season last year

3. Ellsbury lives up to expectations ( 290 15 75 60 steals)

4. McCann becomes the best FA signing of the year.

5. Tanaka is a Yankee ;)

^^^ When I see those Ellsbury numbers Yankee fans want him to produce, I still can't believe that's $22m/year - crazy

Team : Diamondbacks

1. Starting pitching improvement. They need Corbin to not fall off, Miley to pitch like he has in the past when he's on, and would like to see Huddy come back strong, but it's a coin flip. If they are going to bring Bradley along, I hope he's what the hype says he is and at least is a strong #2 type. I hate the back end of the rotation , I am really curious if they have a chance with Tanaka.

2. Bullpen needs to revert to 2012 play not 11/13 disappointments. It could e addition by subtraction by moving on from Bell. I hope DH and the rest of the staff can hold leads at a MUCH better rate. Even w the Dodgers unbelievable run, if the BP had preformed well the DBax could of hung around.

3. Bounce back years (either resulting from slow starts , bad endings, injuries or down years last year) of Hill , Parra, Prado and Miggy. I think Prado and Hill will be fine. We need Parra and Miggy to put full seasons of consistent offense together.

4. Getting the power from other sources. Trumbo needs to be a 30+ hr guy (also would like to see at .270+ BA). But they also need a lil more pop from their entire lineup minus what Goldy provides.

5. Goldy to have another good year. I don't think he needs to put up the stats he did last year for them to compete as long as other things get a lil better. With Trumbo giving a lil protection I think Goldy will be able to play well again. I just don't want to rely solely on him like they did last year.

Those are low. I personally expect 300 and 20 hrs. Plus with very very good defense? No reason thats not 22 million a year numbers when you look at what other people are getting paid. They had a ton of money available and spent it on the best player not named Cano.

Definitely better than whatever Choo will do.

Rockies:

1. Tulowitzki playing an entire year injury free.
2. Securing a solid #4 and #5 starter. The Rockies had one of the best #1 , #2 , #3 in baseball last year (Chacin, De La Rosa, Chatwood) and hardly anyone noticed.
3. Continued growth of Eddie Butler and Jonathan Gray - looks like the Rocks chances to compete every year is grow their own pitching talent.
4. Overall health of the team remains strong - they actually have a very solid team with all the big guns healthy.
5. Justin Morneau returning to his MVP form of 2006. (Long shot I know - but Coors Field should help his #s a bunch.) Drew Stubbs should also benefit from having half his games @ Coors. But I see Stubbs in more of a 4th OF role behind Blackmon and Dickerson.

Cardinals:

1) Nothing. I think they are set up pretty spectacularly right now.
2) If I had to pick something, ease Taveras into a starting role on the team. Let him learn from the veterans on how to play the game right, don't just thrust him into the line up.

1. Don't re-sign Stephen Drew
2. Don't re-sign Stephen Drew
3. Don't re-sign Stephen Drew
4. Don't re-sign Stephen Drew
5. Don't re-sign Stephen Drew

...but in all seriousness:

1. Sign Lester to a 5 year extension.
2. Let Bradley be our opening day CFer
3. Have Middlebrooks and Boegarts be our opening day left side IFers
4. Don't trade any of our top prospects
5. Don't re-sign Stephen Drew

1. Young pitching to evolve into what they can be. Brandon Beachy and Julio Teheran mainly. Beachy in particular has ace level stuff.
2. An injury free Jason Heyward
3. Freddie Freeman to get the ball out of the ballpark a bit more
4. consistency from the bullpen, middle relievers are all over the place
5. to continue to win and lose with class. It's a trademark of the team, and I couldn't be a fan of a better group of guys.

Pretty much agree but wanted to add:
3) I hope the Cardinals have the management in place/talent to replace those that have been raided by other organizations. With all the attention the Cardinals minor league development and scouting departments have received other teams are looking to replicate what they have accomplished.
