2013 Allen & Ginter Adam Dunn Nameplate Name Plate Box Topper 1/1

This card was listed with a BIT/BO of $599.99 and someone pulled the trigger at the full price within a few hours of the listing going live. I made what seemed like a reasonable offer for hundreds less and was shocked to see this sell so high (an entire Dunn MLB authenticated game-used jersey just sold for $425 last week). The seller confirmed for me that this was paid for and shipped. Did someone here snag this?

Wow, I imagine the seller was surprised to get the full asking price. Beautiful card, though.

I bought the Dunn nameplate. I saw the multiple offers on the card (I'm guessing from you) and I didn't want to take a risk with a best offer.

$600 is probably a bit more than it would have went for, but it's not that outrageous.

Here are some recent sales off the top of my head:

The 2013 David Price sold for $565.
The 2013 A-Rod sold for $1200.
The 2011 Pujols sold for $787.
The 2011 Braun sold for $500 and $440.
The 2013 Kemp sold for over $700 and then went unsold after it was relisted for $1000.

Yeah, but it is a gorgeous card.

Yes, both of the other offers were from me (my first was automatically rejected) but I can't blame you for pulling the trigger on that BIN. I would have been interested to see what the card would have gone for at auction. IMO these over-sized nameplate cards are the absolute best game-used baseball cards available (so long as the player's last name is short enough to fit).

I've been waiting on a redemption for an oversized Dunn nameplate card from Topps since May so your card, which actually exists, should carry a premium.:p

Speaking of redemptions, I am actually waiting on a dual cabinet relic book 1/1 from 2013 A&G. Topps hasn't specified which book I would receive, but there is a chance it could be the Sale/Dunn book.

Now Topps just needs to fill the redemption...

This one puzzles me:

2008 UD Masterpieces Framed Green /75 Alex Rodriguez - $34.33
http://www.ebay.com/itm/380790861495?_trksid=p2055120.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Not like it's in the hundreds or anything, but I've never seen one of the greens come even close to this before. A Griffey Framed Silver /25 just recently went for $25 and this same seller just sold a Stan Musial Framed Gold /10 for just $19. Not sure how/why the Arod fetched $34.

Full nameplate for a guy that will be in the HOF in a few days; $600 might be a steal.

Was hoping to get this for $50-$60. Ended at $437.84. Clearly I don't know the 1959 Kahn's SP market.

Surprised the barrel name plate doesn't state that on the card at all . Just says piece of bat. Nice card though
