Don't you hate it when you have an auction that you have been watching for a week or sometimes ten days, you look at the time to check in with an hour or sometimes less and then something comes up and you completely miss it? Ebay needs to create some kind of alarm on your phone or some type of reminder so that doesn't happen!

I'm pretty sure you can set the app settings to push notifications before an item ends.

I have my eBay app send me notifications when the auction has 5 minutes left and I still miss it sometimes when something comes up

Yeah, my phone app has a setting where it will notify you five minutes from end or even up to an hour. Problem is I get the notification and I'm helping a customer and cant do anything about it. Oh well.

Ok, waiting for the "Use a snipe program" guys to chime in...

There aren't too many downsides to using a snipe program. Gixen is free, but for $6 a year, you get their backup server service too. There may still be a case here and there where the system fails you, but it's better than forgetting or missing a listing. T

OK, waiting on the I missed another auction complaining guy to chime in.

I'm still puzzled why in the world a person wouldn't set a snipe just to be sure they have a final moment bid EVEN IF you are a manual snipe kind of person.

Theres only been a handful of cards where I wish I had a snipe set. When I start making more money and can afford to set snipes on everything I want to get, then I may finally do one.

I've been using the free Gixen for about six years and it's placed my bid everytime (that I was high bidder).
There's absolutely no downside to using it.

Sniping is the way to go. I had gixen fail me 6 times over a 2 day period. I also subscribe to the mirror service. It has worked the other 1000 times that I have used it though.
