pretty good, if both kids are at sleepover camp for 3 weeks, it will make life around here a lot easier during the summer. this has been my busiest summer in years.

I would love to have it in Phoenix. It is driving distance from me. But I don't think they can attract as many people as they do in the Mid US

I'll throw another Phoenix / Scottsdale out there. Vegas could be too distracting but could attract some $

If they change the location in Cleveland, it would be better...but it's still Cleveland.
Dallas would make a ton of sense.
Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas...totally central when compared to the Coasts and set up perfectly for conventions. Vegas would be great as well...a lot of rooms within walking distance to wherever the National is held.
For me, there's no draw to go to Cleveland.

They haven't had it in Saint Louis in at least 13 years (probably more), I'd like to test those waters out.

For those of you wanting a casino, Baltimore will fill that need in about 2 weeks. From the convention center facing Camden Yards/Warehouse: to your left in a parking lot used by the O's and Ravens, to the left of that is M&T Bank Stadium, to the immediate left of that is a casino opening in 2 weeks. Also, I seem to recall something a couple of years ago (around the time B'More had their first National) that those other cities mentioned (Dallas, Denver, So. Cal, etc.) were not considered because they don't book the convention centers out that far and the National was looking for that.

Was looking forward to the AC National as I can drive 1 hour to it. However, with yet another casino closing in a month, by next year the place may become more of a dump than it already is. Go 2 blocks away from casinos and you are in bad neighborhoods. This rumor is a real bummer.

and thats just crazy as the place is maybe 5 years old, its one of the nicest places in AC. Surprised they couldnt find a buyer
Why would a buyer invest in a casino that never turned a profit unless you could buy it for a few pennies on the dollar with no existing casino debt acquisition and if you can't turn it around, your investment was only minimal?
Two more casinos are closing in the next month and a half so AC is pretty screwed. I bet the national could get a very good convention rate if they decided to go to AC because AC's economy is so desperate.

Maybe Chicago will go for 3 in a row. That would be ideal for me but it might start to lose the flavor of being "national" if that makes sense.
