Any parent who would put an apostrophe in their childs name needs slapped.
Since you have a step-daughter, would you have slapped your wife when you met her if she had previously named her daughter Mo'Ne or U'Nique or She'ne'ne?

I think She'ne'ne Banks sounds cool.

The auction has pictures of the kids signing the ball.

sure, pictures of the kids signing something. Check out everything that seller has, and then look at the consistency of the signatures on that auction. There's no way that thing got signed by different kids or kids at all.

One, I wouldn't have married her.

Two, my wife picked out her name.

I just went along with it.

So......you DO have a child that has a completely made up name from an intentionally misspelled surname of a rockstar.....and you have the balls to slate Mo'ne's parents?

Ace Frehley was born Paul Frehley. His parents were Frehley's. It isn't a stage name. It is his birth name. Nothing misspelled or made up about it.

I'm not arguing with you about the name. It is unconventional. I like it. But I was more in favor of traditional names like Laura. It's much easier not to argue with a pregnant woman. She thought it would be a difficult process, so I just let her choose.

And you're a dick. Just kidding. I don't care what peoples opinions are. This is a message board and people are entitled to say what they think.

You named your kid two made up names. Just own it and move on. No need to slate a name like Mo'ne when you did the same thing.

Full disclosure my house is less then 10 blocks from the Taney fields. I do not know Mo'ne or any other kid on the team but I've seen some names in my time and your kid's would rank right up there so stop putting on airs

I compare it to naming a kid Billy Joe or Bobby Ray. That portray redneck. Which isn't good either. Atta Boy a Billy Bob! Go slap yourself redneck.

I don't know, if your daughter was inspired/empowered by this young lady going to the Little League world series and performing at the level she did, I'm fairly certain you may be thinking it would be nice to get your daughter a baseball or something. I know, i know, this turned into conversation about her parents name choice but it was a fun story to follow.

Shi'thead....

is the best name I've ever seen.

It was pronounced SHY-theed.

Sampling of real names of kids in my class:

Taki-Pain (My honest first thought was that he was named after T-Pain)

A'lexxus (The extra "X" caught me off guard....looks very "Adult" if you catch my drift)
