Good Morning Everyone!

Time to bundle up here in AZ. It is currently 54* with a projected high of 70* BRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Enjoy the "Arctic Blast"! You'll have some of that "dry heat" soon enough.

:-)

We even have some colder weather here in south Texas (mid 30's). Being a native Midwesterner, it's weird to see people freaking out about the cold without having snot frozen on their face.

Dano- didn't know you collected anything aside from vintage. What are your other collections?

Celtics, Blackhawks, Colts - Yes I have a different city for each sport. Also, former Virginia Tech player autos.
Plus, ROY cards for baseball.

Well it's warm enough to wear shorts in western Nebraska right now. It has reached 39 degrees outside today. A lot better than than negative temps that we had earlier this week

Bought an 8x10 sheet of uncut cards from a seller on eBay. I get the package in today in a Priority Mail envelope with no protection and the seller is surprised that it arrived damaged. What are some people thinking when they mail stuff? I usually don't have problems with sellers, but in the last month I have had two packages come in with insufficient postage paid and two packages arrive damaged because the seller doesn't know how to ship. Sorry for the rant.

I find it better not to expect others to ship the way I do. Rant away, sir!

58 degrees here and I don't feel bad about it.

Good morning, sir!:-)

I got that Roger Maris card in yesterday that I posted in the serial number thread. It was mailed in a plain white envelope inside just a penny sleeve. Also in the penny sleeve was another common card ( I guess for protection) somehow it arrived unharmed.

So far. Get to help three panic-ridden students with appeal letters today. Of course, they are due Monday morning. Oh well, it's just their entire futures!

Really, I mean you can't expect them to have started on the letters back in November when they learned they needed them, right?

I like to scare them by telling them that they may end up like me. And then I laugh and laugh for an uncomfortably long time. Ah, young people...

I'm glad I was never young. Not that I recall, anyway.;-)

Good morning, sir!:-)

I worked in retail for almost 20 years and I am by no means a bad eBay buyer. Sometimes I just message the seller to inform them of the situation so they can do better next time, but the responses I have received from this seller has sent me over the edge. The last seller to send me a package with insufficient funds sent me a card in a bubble mailer with a regular stamp on it only and was short $1.83 in postage. I sent the seller a nice message just to inform them of the situation. I did not ask for reimbursement nor a refund. The seller messaged me back and said that it was hard for the seller to imagine that it cost that much to send something from Pennsylvania to Louisiana and was basically calling me a liar. Well an informative message turned into opening a case with eBay and getting a refund. Geez!

Glad your Maris made it safely. I often receive cards sent in the same manner, especially when I order sealed packs.

I had a similar postage due situation and informed the seller. His response was that the card was sold for .99 and he's not in the business of losing money. Shipping was cheap I think so I expected a PWE and was fine with that but the guy added a heavy card case that added weight and led to extra charges. Don't think I filed for it but definitely left negative feedback
