Haha! I'd post the pick and ebay link, but it is too great of a card that Adam needs to be the one to show it off. Definitely a Tony-esque type of card if that paints a picture at all.

It won't open for me, what is it?

I'm guessing I broke a few hearts. I think it's worth what I paid. His original asking price was $799, so if you were offering $400, that's what I started off at, too. Paid $600. Sold stuff to get it so it was totally worth it to me.

I'm really not sure how this card made it to my house. It was just hanging out of the back of the envelope.

Wow, SMH

I am seriously considering moving my Ethier collection. I just have no idea where to start.

Why would you do that?

C J Edwards was a Crawdad -- now I have to pull for Cubs

Everyone needs to pull for the Cubbies lol

Afternoon guys! I had a 3rd and final interview today for a promotion at work and believe I'll be getting an offer letter next week.

That Burleigh Grimes is :eek::eek::eek:

A couple of week ago, I became determined to own a button. My first real opportunity didn't pan out - so I knew I was going to own the best one I've seen that was actually attainable.

Huge congrats, and the fact it went to an MT brother keeps my heart from being broken :) I was ready to rock at $450 but the auto declines were set, I'm glad you got it and that is still a decent price for a PC card and for a player with no other buttons. That is THE card that I was drawn to since seeing the sell sheets before NT first came out. Congrats man!

This is probably the #1 thing that I own that I knew other MTers would have been after, too. I actually don't get any sort of pleasure from that aspect, but I do get great pleasure from the cracks in the button. I can't wait to see it in person.

I've held that card with my own hands at the National. You will be GREATLY pleased, it's one of those cards where pictures will never do the justice it deserves :cool:

I will high-five the card so it'll kind of be like high-fiving you!

Haha I like it! Not that it should matter, but I approve you to have such a worthy card :) There were two NT cards at the National I wanted to get but didn't want to give up all of my funds during the trip for. The Grimes button and a Dizzy Dean cut auto with jumbo glove swatch booklet. They both were from the ebay dealers themselves as they were there and stuck to the price they wouldn't budge from (respectfully).

Incredible pick up Adam! That's a card that some people would dream about. I don't know what I would do if I got something like that in the mail. I get giddy over a $15 HOF auto :lol:

No shame in being excited over EVERY card. I know I am!

Sometimes these sellers know what they have, and it's tough. I'm seen the Dizzy booklet, and it's niiicceee. Out of my range, though. Of course, so was this until I became determined to own it.
