Picked up this game used jersey of Barry Jones. I know very few, if any, will know who this is so here is a little back story.
Jones played at IU from 1982-1984. He was drafted in the third round of the 1984 draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He played eight years in the majors. A couple of his accomplishments are he was the main set up man for Bobby Thigpen in 1990 when he set the then record for saves in a season. He also led the NL in appearances in 1991 (the year this jersey is from).
Card of him in this style of jersey
And a little back story for the thread title. Notice the tin in his back pocket in this picture.
Well, this is both gross, and fairly unique.
