Morning Kiddes it's 3 right now and the sun was shinning. As if like we needed to set anymore records for this winter season, but we did. Seems 2 degrees was the record low for this morning, we hit 0 at o'hare the official reading spot.
But where I live in the far western suburbs it got down to -5 and that was the lowest it have been for March 5th any time ever.

Good Afternoon Kiddies. I see the bears are about to makes some more changes for nest season.


For the 3rd time is his 10 NFL career Brandon Marshall has been traded. And to the Jets no less.


Brandon Marshall had a couple got season with the bears. But he only played in 13 games in 2014 season and had the lowest productive season last year, other then his rookie year which was lower.


With the emergence of Alshon Jeffery as the Bears number 1 productive receiver, this is no surprise the Bears decided to part ways with Marshall. This also gives them some Salary Cap space in the neighborhood of $3.9 Million. That's money needed to shore up the dismal defense.


If everything is good with the physical, then the Bears, will get a 5th round draft pick from the Jets for Marshall.
This can not actually happen until free agency at 4 pm Tuesday March 10th. Also he has to pass a physical too

What else could they have gotten for a declining WR? The talk here since the season ended was 5 or 6th round pick. I had hoped for a 4th rd but value is what it is.....I bet the Bears shopped him for a while and this was the best offering.

Not sure how much he's declining vs bad QB play and an injury. He very well could be , but I'm not sold he is only worth a 5th. I'd take him in AZ for a 5th

For the Jets, Harvin is 3million more expensive and they ended up giving up a 4th rd pick for him based on 2014 production. Also contractual control affects the trade pick value. I would have loved a higher pick but we got something.

As for poor QB play...look at the stats. Career high in TD and most passing yards since Denver....oh and he was benched at the end of the year.
