At the start of the 2014 Baseball Season the Cubs beer prices was 6.50 and the it went 6.75 for games after April and up to 7.25 for premium games, like division rivalries and other premiere teams came in. But it seems that the beer prices are starting at 7.75 and most likely will go up for the same listed above.

See where your team is for the price of beer. In the parentheses is the ounces you get for that price.

Wow DBacks are the BEST deal. Also of note 5 of the 6 lowest prices are for more than 12 ounces.
EDIT to add: These MUST be keg prices. The cans I bought at D Backs field were much more. I
get mad hiccups and a hangover from draft beer. I think I bought 24 oz cans for like 10 bucks.

Prices are high at ballparks for two reasons:

1) to thwart drunk driving
2) to create a family atmosphere.

Plus they have a captive audience that they know will pay a premium for beer and they only have less than 90 sales days in a year.

Os don't know prices for this year yet. As we are still waiting for the call letting us know price so we can make the vending buttons.
A few years ago we made 2 sets for them 6.25 and 6.75

You can also see some of the teams that have prices more in line with dependence on stadium profit. Teams like Milwaukee and Pittsburgh and KC depend more on their stadium revenue than other teams, so it's important to get the cost and price right.

Based on this chart, It looks like the Angels have the best price when you base it on price per ounce.

Having the price fluctuate depending on opponent really pisses me off. They do this with parking as well.

As a Yankee fan living in the Bay Area, they jack up prices at A's games when the Yanks and Red Sox come to town. Now I clearly understand it's a supply and demand thing, but at the same time teams and their fans ***** and moan about the salaries these premium-price-bringing teams bring with them.

You're definitely right - they have 3 or 4 beers on tap (talking stuff out of the Bud Light, Coors Light family) that you can get for $4 and a bigger size for $8. But the cans and bottles are much more expensive - my friend paid $11 or $11.50, can't remember, for a 24 oz can of something better than Bud Light. They've opened a new Craft Beer stand at Chase Field, can't imagine that's too cheap either.

But it is nice having the $4 option.

I've never bought a $5 beer at Busch Stadium.

The beer I buy is usually around $9.

And I'm cool with that. Some people freak out about ballpark prices, but I know if I am going to a game I'm going to spend a ton of money, and I'm cool with that.

Beer is good. Beer while watching baseball at Busch Stadium is great.

A lot of the time though I'll just sit in an all-inclusive area and get all the beer I want included with my admission price.

I know these Busch Stadium prices aren't right.

And they don't change their prices due to competition.

Sam those prices are the 12 Oz beers that they offer at the stands were food is made. It even says small beer to the right of the chart. What you get is a 16 or 24 Oz can at the park do you not? Also if you buy a imported or premium beer like a micro brew or others your going to pay more listed in that list.

So yes the prices are going to be wrong.
I emailed the person who did the article.

They said it was what the teams put in a email survey they sent out to all the parks. They also noted that some of the prices were from 2014 season and did not reflex this year's prices, since the survey was sent before this season started.

Busch Stadium doesn't sell 12 ounce draft beers at the concession stands though. They have big beers, and slightly less big beers.

This seems to go along with the local job market. In SF, middle class is 100k+/yr. Beer is $7. In Seattle, middle class is $90k/yr+ and beer is $6. In AZ, middle class is $60k/yr+ and beer is $4.

I didn't think there was beer less than $8.50 at ATT park - and with another ring I did;t expect them to go down this year. I'll be there next week and will check.
