Thanks! Feels pretty cool to add a big cobb to my collectIon. I really like this cobb knob cuz the bat looks way old and has lots of use. Possibly from early cobb years. Who knows....wish they would document things....but way happy to land it

On the flip side I was prepared to go 5800 on the Cobb had we not spoken so technically I saved yea almost 1k

Congrats guys ! Some nice pieces , and yeah wouldn't it be great if they could be documented some how.
That case the Ted Williams is in , is , well, crazy.
The craziest price in terms of what I was off % wise was the Pedro , $800+ geez.
$19551 was the total. I thought the Gehrig would go $4k n I thought the Kaline would go $700 (I think $450 was a good buy).

You pretty much nailed it on price guess! The gehrig was a steal....just as simple as that.
Pedro can't have many knobs though? Can he?
Why can't topps say "we bought this Ty Cobb bat from heritage auctions for 100k and it was used during 1910"

He had a name plate (Pedro) end at $641 Sunday. Of course both the knob n barrel show him pitching , makes sense.
And yes , there is no reason (unless its a cover up) that these companies shouldn't be preaching about these types of rarities and what's in them. Seriously if you knew more info wouldn't you pay more ? I would. Even if the info was "used by *** in a spring Training game , or charity game, etc" there would be more relevance to the item. And if it was something like a Ty Cobb bat from 1910, geez the excitement would be much higher. I really want to add a Ruth Barrel one day , but damn I really wish I knew all the info as to where it came from.

Without a doubt! I would pay more for it if I knew exactly what it was from. I could call topps and ask them but most likely I will just get the run around from them ha
How dOes the Pedro knob sell more then the nameplate? Unless someone wanted to own both and another person ran it up knowing that?

What the... Almost $400 ?
In terms of better hitter , I just think they were to far apart in eras to compare. Both amazing !

None of those nameplates are mine, wish I would have seen the Cobb five star but I never did.

i am am two cards short on completing a set from 2004 upper deck sp game used patch. I am missing the joe torre cards card and the Tom Seaver mets card. Would love to pick them up and finish my set if anybody has any?
