2001 SP Game Used Jersey Mystery Swatch?

Some of the Tampa Bay Rays in 2001 SP Game Used edition have pinstripes on the jersey swatches. Not only that, but the jerseys also feel quite old compared to the other swatches, almost wool-like. I own a handful of them and there are quite a few like this McGriff available on eBay. They look a lot like the swatches from the Mantle, Maris and Dimaggio jerseys throughout 2001 UD products. Do you think it's possible the swatches in the Rays cards are actually from the Yankees' greats?

Without looking too much at it , the Padres and Cubs (who he played for) had Pin Stripe jerseys. But I am not sure the material and stripes match up, just know those 2 teams could be what it possibly is from.

The problem with that is that it's not just the McGriff. The Greg Vaughn and Aubrey Huff both have the same material and stripe. Vexing indeed.

Got ya , looks like a throwback has been mentioned , and I did a search , looks like they said St. Pete on the jersey and had the stripes.

I found the picture I think you are talking about but it's from 2007. I can't find anything from 2000.



Does anyone have the link to the old thread?
