The last big purchase I made was a Harper Blue Refractor...5X eBay bucks hit literally the next day. I was bummed!

That's interesting - I always wonder the same thing (though I generally get all of these deals) and for once, I actually had an offer in on a pricey card and then I got this email this morning. Made me feel like they were trying to nudge me into accepting it.

This seller dropped this item right to $50, so I had to pull the trigger

Even more ridiculous? I actually convince the seller of this card to RAISE his price by $1. He did a DEEP discount when he relisted it (from $69.99 to $49.00) and I was ready to pull the trigger. BUT, with the extra bucks, I was actually able to save $4 more dollars by having him take the price right to $50. He was happy to do it. He got an extra dollar and I saved $4 more bucks. Worked out well for both.
