I am the chairman of our first Parish Beefsteak dinner tonight. No too big, about 100 people. We have former Yankee and Atlanta Brave Frank Tepedino as our speaker. He played with Mantle and Aaron. But his greatest challenge was as a NYC firefighter and First Responder on 9/11.
A terrific speaker, he talks a lot about his alcoholism and his foundation "Winning beyond Winning". I've known Frank for about 15 years or so.
He even does free clinics for kids with Yankee Rusty Torres and Mets Bud Harrelson.
He donated an original Yankee Stadium set back that was signed by 30-40 former players ( Yogi, Whitey, Straws.....)
Looking forward to a great night
