This "White Letter Last Name Variation" was part of a trade I made with death2inspections. Figured this Gaylord should be owned by the Gaylord.

Anyone know anything about these double holograms?

Think this is just a misalignment of the hologram. The one on his stats should be shifted up to the white area, and the one on his hat should be on the card above (which was printed upside down). There would have been cards in this box that had no holograms also.

I got in 4 copies of this card (#449) for $1.67 shipped from a seller hoping to get variations A and B. I got lucky and got them both. Just need 25 more cards to finish off the 1973 Topps set. Never seen or heard of this before, but now I have a ton of cards to check!

I have noticed that 2016 Bowman Platinum base (not the prospects, just the base set) have a different finish depending on where they came from. Cards from the fat packs have more of a foil finish, where the cards from the blasters are almost more refractor-like. I can't get it to scan, but it is blazingly obvious in person.

My minor contribution for today - the 1989 Topps Glossy Rookies set has variations with * or ** on back.

I just recently found out Topps Big has variations on the back. I knew of 88 and 89 (I think) but 90 is a new one. I bought 3 in hopes of getting the copy I didn't yet have ... and got it!

Hmmm...I knew of 1990 and I have both versions of that year, but didn't think 1989 had * and ** versions? I've never seen those, but then again haven't looked extremely hard.

Yes, correct. I should have added an etc to that.

For those confused by this or needing further clarification, a card with A* before the copyright can also be found with B* but will not be found with C* D* E* or F*. Cards with C* can be found only with D*, E* only with F*.

Early in production, the manufacturer mistakenly pictured Vance Law on Mark Grace's card. He's the only one with an error like this. It's taken me 18 years, but I think I've finally found all the different combinations of these issues. The JJ Nissen Vance Law card, and the red back Holsum Vance Law card are extremely tough finds.
