Question as one just sold on eBay a buddy of mine bought it but we have 2 different Jeter versions. I know I heard in 1993 they made the entire set but could they have sold a limited amount of sets with a lower print run then singles with a higher print run. Here are back images of both.

As with several players who had alternate offerings of their 1993 cards, usually in connection to a career retrospective, I am positive there were 2 or 3 different ways the Jeter was offered. Unfortunately, I have had no luck tracking down any sales material relating to any but a few of these porcelain sets.

Talked to Nelson who is a reliable source he said there are 2 Jeter variations both shown.

Anyone buy any of the sealed R&N plates that have been on eBay lately? I bought a Grace. Seller winamae has plates, mugs and sealed cards for sale. https://www.ebay.com/sch/winamae/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

The seller mixed my package up with someone else’s. The guy that originally got my mug sent it directly to me, and it shows up cracked. It wasn’t meant to be this time.

Cracked ceramic can be glued, but it's still cracked to the purist. Maybe the seller has multiples though, seems like they have a lot of stuff to offer. Makes sense that they might have been a dealer or acquired some old dealer stock.

So I now have 7 R&N China Porcelain 1985 Topps Puckett cards that are a standard baseball card size, all of them different in some way.

I'm trying to figure out what year/set this newest one was issued and have been unsuccessful in my Google/COMC/eBay searches in figuring it out.

Anybody have an answer for me?

My best guess is that it is 1995. The 1995 "Keeper" series with the metal/silver look is the closest I have in terms of matching the font/and location of the licensing information on that back. Obviously that series is allegedly 500, and this is allegedly 5000.

I keep an album of images of what I have online so that when one appears I can more accurately figure out if I have it or not since there are so many minor variations with these:

There is no evidence to support any "full sets" ever having been created. Besides, given the retail for these at the time, that would have run over $10K.

I am just wondering why after years of not listing them for lack of evidence they are now listed in Beckett.

They have been listed in Beckett before. Beckett isn't exactly known for their thorough research and unmatched precision. They have listed two non-existent errors in the 1990 Classic Blue set for 30 years.

I have NO idea about the rarity/details/print runs of these things, BUT I have 2 Clemens issues. Neither appear rare, 1 is not even numbered, the line for the number is literally blank. maybe it's a "fake"....but honestly, what the heck makes these things "authentic" ??????? One says "limited to a firing run of 30 days". Seems like MILLIONS could be made in 30 days to me.....

I also have Griffey, Jackson, Mattingly and Will CLark. They are all numbered in the same gold pen, and vary from 1,084 to 10,000, to 106,125. Thats not a typo, ONE HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND! written on both the enclosed tag AND the card itself. Interested in any concrete info on these as well.

Side note, I paid less than 5 bucks for each Clemens, and honestly have NO recollection of buying the others, so they couldnt have been expensive.

Oh I know. They did remove them for a long time due to lack of evidence though. I wonder why they added them back in.

Could just be because some idiot keeps trying to document the actual cards that exist, hoping to land all of his player collection wants before he dies of old age.

154 of 825 confirmed and counting...only one PC hit, so far.
