There are quite a few Collector's Edge "Preview" cards out there, some catalogued by Beckett, some not. I hadn't seen or heard of these particular ones before. Who knows if they're legit or something somebody stamped with some unnumbered cards from Edge's bankruptcy.....but I didn't have them so of course I bought them. There were also similar cards of Trent Green and Skip Hicks in the lot so if anybody collects them shoot me a PM.

Some A's autographs I didn't have yet. Let me go off on a little Rant about Topps making multiple versions of autographed cards with very slight differences, the major offenders being Tier One, Triple Threads, and Tribute. If you are going to make two different cards of the same player at least do something like one picture with a home jersey and one picture with a road jersey, or batting in one pic while fielding in the other. It's annoying having to notate my wantlist with something like "barely any forearm visible" vs. "much of forearm visible" to differentiate between the cards.

Haha I agree with the rant and to be honest, the rainbows of Tier One, Tribute, etc. are getting to be a little much.

Do you have your Dilfer collection documented anywhere? Or have a top wants list? I’ve always wanted to see what your collection looks like. You’ve got to be getting comparable to the Mark Brunell super collector that was a big poster awhile ago.

It's funny to me to see Piazza and Frank Thomas in the A's uniform. Many examples of this throughout sports, but those two cases definitely are good examples of "when did that happen!?". They both ended their careers in Oakland and just missed being teammates for it too!

2006 Topps was the first product that I had bought after a few years hiatus from the hobby (back in the day), so Frank Thomas in that A's jersey is very memorable to me weirdly enough. Piazza as an Athletic though is weird, I don't remember that at all!

Last updated a year ago so it's missing a few cards but I've got it documented here.

I didn't have so much to spend during his playing career so I have hardly any 1/1's from that time frame, I have a ton since Panini put him in new products beginning in 2014. So I'm not quite on the level of Jaderock (the Brunell collector).

I posted an oddball Larry Fritsch card a bit ago, although not signed. This hobby-related card is signed. An oddity I could not pass up for the collection. He is definitely a character in the history of baseball card collecting. I guess Pacific Trading Cards made this for him. I was not familiar with the card before seeing this one for a $5 shipped price tag!

Just one today:

123020.jpg

A Silk Barry Zito 09/10. Nice card, I have quite a few Topps Silks/50 but not many of the A&G Silks/10. I think a couple of different Sonny Grays, a Trevor Cahill, and a Brett Anderson and that's about it.

Just got to yesterday's mail so these are still December new arrivals:

123120.jpg

Thanks to @WizardofOz1982 for the A's - the Olson Gold was the best remaining Topps Gold card on my quest to complete the entire 2001-2020 A's run. The Stew goes well with the base/99 and Green/25 versions I have. The Ellard goes in my Fresno State football collection; I used to get a lot of his stuff 20 years ago and this is one I had never picked up. Still need to grab the regular Archives version.
