Can I say again, as a buyer I should be allowed to WAIVE this ? Seriously, I have to wait two weeks so a #d 2023 Topps Cert on Card auto card in a PSA 10 holder can be sent for....<checks notes> ..... the same authentication I can literally do on PSA's website? rather than get to me in two days from Pennsylvania to Rhode Island? It's just stupid. RANT over.

They're not re-authenticating the auto/grade/etc, they're making sure the seller didn't pull the ole switcheroo on you so you get the correct card.

I had a card I sold as near mint or better and the card was listed for $249 as a BIN or best offer. I ended up selling it for $180 but it still had to go through the verification process based on the original price. They kicked it back saying it was not near mint of better and I needed to update my listing. No clarification on what they thought they saw. The buyer still wanted it and I had to wait for it to comeback and relist it under the agreed upon price which now did not require verification. The buyer has since had it graded and it came back a PSA 9.

I get that.... but its serial numbered and psa holder numbered. Any discrepancies on arrival are pretty easy to resolve through normal ebay channels of "item not as described" and pics would leave no doubt. If this wasnt easy to ID by multiple markings, i would accept the process because of questions that could be raised. But it either has the right numbers on card and slab on arrival, or it doesn't. But in this case, its nonsense. Buyer experience rating lowered.
