1998 Topps Stars is a 150-card set that was distributed exclusively to Topps' Home Team Advantage stores. Every base set card is serial-numbered to 9799 copies and each pack contains four other serial-numbered parallel cards.

1996 Collector's Choice

You Crash the Game

This 90-card set features 30 of the game's top sluggers on three different game cards. If the featured player hit a home run during the time period specified on the card, it was then eligible to be redeemed for a super premium Cell Card of the same player. The postmark expiration date for exchanging winning cards was November 18th, 1996.

This set is also available in a Gold parallel. (You Crash the Game Gold 1:50 )

You Crash the Game Redemption

This 27-card, skip-numbered, set features transparent color player images of the home run hitters from the Collectors Choice Crash the Game regular set in a wood-like frame highlighted with silver foil. The cards were available via mail on a card-by-card basis in exchange for winning Silver or Gold Crash cards. The set parallels the You Crash the Game set; however, three players (Tim Salmon, Larry Walker, and Joe Carter) did not have any winning YCtG cards. Therefore, this set is complete without cards #CG8, CG16 and CG30.

Topps issued a Spanish language edition factory set for 1994. The set is a full 792-card parallel the regular Topps issue, but with English and Spanish text on the back of each card. Each set also included the exclusive 10-card Topps Leyendas insert set (see below). Only 1000 factory sets were issued

hiya ready to part with that 1999 ionix hologrfx yet??
mail
please..........

Hey Bam,

We both want that card, but I know you want it more. I've seen some of your collection on the boards, and maybe you deserve to have it, but I really like that card.

I will consider a trade, no cash, and nothing in a graded case with any one of the following cards in good shape...

a.) 1970 Topps Thurman Munson/Dave McDonald

b.) 2001 Bowman Chrome Ichiro (Japanese version)

c.) 2001 Bowman's Best Ichiro

d.) 1992 Fleer Update Mike Piazza

e.) 1997 Fleer David Ortiz-Arias

Just one of these cards, in good condition, and the Hologrfx is yours.
Don't hurry, you know that both the card and myself aren't going anywhere, and I'll wait for your reply.
I'll miss the card, but I know it deserves to be in a more focused Griffey collection. Please send me your address and I'll ship it certified immediately. Thanks,

Can you enlighten me on those 4 variations of the Extreme Players card? I only know the Bronze, Silver, and Gold versions, which doesn't add up to what's in your picture. Thanks!
  • A Roger Clemenrs Extreme Players Gold promo card is known to exist, but is very rare.

Its just showing a bunch of extra 1990 inventory items - was not intending to try and show all of them. Figured it was obvious and I didnt need to break it down- my apology next time I will break down the pic and be very specific so no one can read anything into a basic post of "random inventory items"

BACK IN THIS POST I showed the 3 slabbed BGS Extreme Player variations I had located and said I needed to locate my stashes of extras to find my Gold variation. I had doubts about that BGS promo labeled card also as it doesnt match my other ones ( the other promos I own have white edges)

The picture shows a spare 1997 Platinum Press Proof, a need to slab 2002 Leaf Rookies and Stars Longevity variation, plus three extra spare 1996 Stadium Club Gold / one Silver Extreme players variations. Random inventory pic that wasn't intended to show anything other than spares I have.
Make more sense now ??
