Does anyone understand this issue or know how I might find some info on how easy (or hard) it would be to find specific cards?

Garvey is in the latest set and many have shown up for stupid high prices, which I am just ignoring. However, some have started low, but I really don't want to overpay for something that will be easy to find later or miss something that will be scarce. They all seem to be different, so knowing how many of a given subject they made and if there are print runs, that would be nice to know too.

I've even seen a couple that were signed.

Not a huge fan of them, as I was never a superhero comic lover. I may just skip them all together, but I am watching several to see what happens.

I have no idea what this is
It's a sports card game where the athletes go by Superhero type names. I guess to get around licensing. People around here are going crazy over them. They have some autographs. Bo & Griffey Jr auto's are big chase cards.

Just about every single Garvey I have seen listed, and I have probably seen a dozen "base" cards and 2 autographs, are listed for criminally high prices. Talking $100+. Apparently every card is a SP, SSP or SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSP!

I am watching the different cards now, but won't spend anywhere near that, even for an auto. I think these that do sell are not going to Garvey collectors though.

Just curious, as the site didn't really give me too much info. Its probably a fad that will pass, but who knows.
