I ended up in the er last night. A day or so before getting out of the hospital I was sneezing my head off and a runny nose with a slight fever. I just thought it was a bad cold. I got home and was more worn out than usual. Everything hurt and I had a lot of congestion building up. I drove myself to the VA hospital. I knew I would have to wait all night at the local hospital. They did a covid and KSV virus test. It came back positive for KSV. There's no cure for it. I just had to take Tylenol and cough meds. I got nervous when I had a hard time breathing in the er. Now I just feel like I've been run over a few times. The doctor says I should be fine in a few days as I've already been sick with it in the hospital. I feel old.

Oh yeah. Happy Friday the 13th.

Morning all, I worked at the camp where the first Friday the 13th movie was filmed, we actually watched the movie in the same cabin where they play strip monopoly in the movie. I love this day, lol.

Dropped the kid at the bus, super excited later to drive to Philly and catch the Bad Omens, Beartooth and President show tonight

Morning all! My dad will get to town later today for Maisie's party tomorrow. Need to finish getting everything ready for that still. Will have to go get balloons blown up at the dollar store tomorrow. Kinda nice to be able to order what we want online and then they fill them for $1-2. Way cheaper than buying those little disposable helium tanks.

@MrMet2.0 jealous of that concert! It's been awhile since I've been to one now. Probably 7 years ago was the last major concert I went to and it was From Ashes to New, Bad Wolves, 5FDP, and Breaking Benjamin. I was more excited for Bad Wolves and From Ashes to New than the 2 headliners though

The last concert I saw was Pink Floyd The Wall with Roger Waters. Tickets were expensive. It was one concert I always wanted to see. But well worth it to me.

Morning all!

The Phillies starting Pitchers have all been phenomenal so far and Wheeler seems ahead of schedule...

I'd go see that one without a doubt. Rapid City is 2.5 hours away, and they are the closest that gets somewhat decent concerts, but its rare for them to get anything worth going to anymore. Denver is a 4 hour drive for concerts, so by the time you factor in travel, hotels, and food, it's hard to justify for me right now. Although, both of my boys have told me that they want to go to a rock and roll concert with me sometime.

Afternoon all!

Weird one here:

The head priest of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Rev. Aidan Smith, is facing retail theft charges after police say he stole more than $1,000 worth of baseball cards from a Walmart. Authorities allege Smith took 27 packs of cards, and store security said surveillance showed him taking cards during several previous visits as well.
Police arrested the 42-year-old on Feb. 27 after he left the store with the packs concealed under his clothing and in a box. The church’s diocese says it will conduct its own investigation while the legal case plays out.

Dude that’s a pretty sick show too. The kicker for this one is, I’m getting in free. A couple weeks ago I got an email about joining Beartooths street team. I didn’t know what that involved but I figured it couldn’t be bad, so I signed up. Less than a week later an email about working the tour. I was off off work tonight and the show wasn’t too far away (about a two hour drive) so I filled out the form to work it and to my absolute surprise was actually picked. So I gotta walk the GA line before the show and get people to sign up for Beartooths mailing list and give out rubber bracelets for their new song Free.

Logan has also been asking to go to a show, so we have tickets for all of us for Shinedown in Hershey PA in June, only he doesn’t know it yet. We’re gunna surprise him with a Shinedown shirt or something in his Easter basket

Shinedown puts on a great show! Saw them when they headlining a tour with 5FDP. Again, went for them and not 5FDP, haha. Sixx AM was the opener for them.
