Glad to hear you got the card and it is legit. The guy that bought the brett got his as well. Appears the seller really had a stash of legit aqueous cards.
1985 Thom McAnn Shoes George Brett MSA disc. SCD has listed this stupid card for over 20 years now in their standard card catalog. Not a single one has ever surfaced. It does not exist.
Based on the great scans of the Robby Thompson cards I would say as long as the stamp is in the EXACT same place on the back of Brett cards - compared to other Brett aqueous - then it probably is legit. It seems that the stamp is spaced slightly different based on the player but looks the same...

Even though it had been years since I actively collect all those Brett cards it was still HARD to part with the collection.
When I thought about it however I came to the conclusion that I can't take it with me! Also, the value, in my opinion, will only go down as active Brett collectors...
I was the one who sold the Brett on ebay. It was real. I had it in my Brett collection for many, many years. I stumbled upon a dealer (might have been a west cost national in LA or SF as I used to live in Calif) that must have been one of the "original" dealers that aquired these cards. This...
