I take a step back, take a few days off from the hobby and try to develop some other interests. I recently dropped a fair amount on a new watch, some nice shoes, and a few shirts. It made me realize I really don't need to spend as much on cards and that I can slow it down a bit, I have other...
If you were hoping to keep it in your Brewers PC why sell it? And if you were to sell it, it should be at a ridiculous price that you just couldn't hold on to the card at. Just my 2c...
Definitely the bat knob. Tons of patches out there but how many products have bat knobs? Plus TTT puts out these booklets every year, at this point they barely seem unique anymore. I'd pay 50% more for the bat knob auto but that's just me.
I hate to say it but I feel like the baseball writers need another Ruth to vote in on the first ballot... I think he deserves to be first ballot but will be stiffed by the writers who believe in that crap about how everyone should wait at least a year to get in.
Many of us here drop hundreds on and idolize 16 year old kids who haven't done anything yet... why would it be funny to pay less for an auto of someone who has already had success?
I mean I see where you are coming from but I feel a lot of us here forget the big picture...
I like them... a lot. Yes they look similar as previously stated but it is a great design that most collectors love. Plus there is plenty of variation. I for one like the silver stitching. Oh and +1 on including "heroes" in this subset.
Thanks again for sharing the images, I'm sure I speak...
I have but I find Ultra Pro to be much higher quality... this includes sleeves/boxes/pages. Just my opinion of course but I would pay more for Ultra Pro.
Absolutely. See 2009 Ultimate Collection.
Agreed, I have never understood when a third party thinks a monopoly is the best choice. All it does is remove all incentive to innovate and put value in their products. I want Donruss back...
As for the idea that BGS "hands out" 10's, I really feel like more people are submitting cards. I bet the percentage hasn't changed. 3 years ago, I didn't own a single BGS graded card. I now own around ~20, and I barely dabble in prospects AT ALL. It's become part of the market. One thing I...
I saw wickedliquids break a box of 2008 Ginter, and since I was collecting many of the sets from that year I sent him a PM. He replied back that he had four ad back minis for my set, so I asked him what he wanted for them. He said he would send them out for free! I received a package in the...
What are the differences in prices for submitting cards, does anyone know? I thought I heard blue flips you can do without a membership but is more expensive... can someone elaborate?
