I have 4 fat packs, 2 blasters, and 2 of the "hobby"-lite boxes. I want to sit on some and open others.
I'll take suggestions: the two expensive boxes, or the blasters/packs.
My gut tells me to try the blasters/packs, because those tend to linger. If this product takes off, the "hobby"-lite...
Yep. I'm debating going strictly blasters, or maybe the hobby-esque boxes. I had 1 pretty decent Seagar hit last year, but the auto checklist isn't that strong.
I'm not advocating for any. Like I said, Shaw is barely a snub. I just think it's interesting as well as indicative of the mystery of the Brewers' success.
Starting when though? Probably not Stadium Club or A&G or Clearly Authentic, as they might have been printed too soon. That's why I'm thinking Chrome. Plus, people seem to care the most about these "base" releases, not the niche stuff, when it comes to plain ole rookie cards.
It's funny (though understandable, from a stats perspective), that the NL Central leaders for more than half the year so far, only get a "gimme" rep; although Knebel might be the best closer ATM. Shaw is the only thing close to a snub on the Milwaukee roster.
Makes it all the more confusing to...
So, it seems fairly obvious that these guys are driving up the price of the upcoming release. They could be the real deal.
If that's the case, I'm thinking about going big on blasters. That, and whatever mega box thing comes out with Topps Update. The rookie class this year is awesome.
Thoughts?
Should be fun, I just wish it wasn't because Chase Anderson went on the DL. Maybe Hader will get Anderson's spot, and Lopez will reside in the bullpen, taking Hader's spot; but Hader being the Lefty option makes me wonder.
That is all. Amazing, got to watch it live on TV. I've always like Arenado, but how could you not after that feat.
Plus, someone or something cut his eye during the mobbing at home plate.
Look people, Vin Scully and Uecker were 1 and 1.a for most of their careers.
Uecker is easily the best currently and was the only one besides Scully (sort of) and Caray (as a novelty) to enter the rest of the media world as an announcer.
Plus, Ueck's home run call is still unrivalled.

Milwaukee is obviously doing better than anyone expected, but I think a lot of that was Eric Thames catching fire. Braun is hurt, the starting pitching is average at best, and their inability to put LHPs out on the mound is becoming a problem. Our closer has already swapped duties after he...
