I was thinking about breaking open the piggy bank, but it surpassed the combined wealth of all my farm animals by Tuesday night. Will be really interesting to see how it goes.

But I have to be that guy. The current high bidders all have double-digit feedback, and the top two have only bid on this card in the last month. Could be people who use secondary accounts to bid on things while hiding their identity, but it could be the other thing.

Well, this would be his most valuable 1/1 non-auto rookie card (diamond parallel of his most sought after 2011 RC) so even without being shilled I'd assume that it would reach 5 figures.

But not this high.

You'd be tossing away tens of thousands of dollars in the process. I haven't met anyone significant enough to do such a thing.

Different story if it were an Omar Infante 1/1 diamond card.

Yeah, the diamonds they put I this and flawless aren't but maybe $20 at best - worthless chips. Still it is a holy grail card, just not 30K IMO.
