You're definitely right - they have 3 or 4 beers on tap (talking stuff out of the Bud Light, Coors Light family) that you can get for $4 and a bigger size for $8. But the cans and bottles are much more expensive - my friend paid $11 or $11.50, can't remember, for a 24 oz can of something better...
Awesome work, definitely one of the better sketches I have seen out there - trust me, you don't want to see my Brandon Webb.
I'll certainly be keeping a look out for this one in particular!
Thanks, I definitely like Shipley a lot! My second 1/1 of him actually, hoping he'll be contributing here sooner rather than later.
But seriously, that no prospects thing is really not working out well for me this month. After my eBay bucks and a gift card I forgot I won through work, this bad...
Actually yes, I've had plenty of people through the years tell me I'm an idiot for collecting a crappy team like the Diamondbacks and why don't I just invest my money in prospects and flashy chrome cards.
Not saying that I have a problem with prospecting, because I certainly don't and do enjoy...
$220 or so...good god. I sure as heck hope I don't get anywhere near that this quarter.
But, I'll certainly enjoy it...hoping something cool pops up this month, otherwise I'll just buy a bunch of lower-end stuff I've been meaning to pick up for a while.
I don't pick up too many cards of prospects just because I don't like ending up with a bunch of cards of people who never pan out, like to wait until they have some impact on the team. But I absolutely LOVE the throwback to '89 and have been waiting for a D-backs to pop up so had to do it.
You know me so well ;)
After I made you that offer I immediately thought "why do I care about $0.75" and just cancelled it and bought it. I was so pumped to find it, another rare Jay Bell off the list, two in one week!
I completely agree, I wonder how many of these are going to surface with the recall. Trying to pick up what I can now in case they really dry up - and a nice find on the 1/50, congrats!
I actually received my first Longevity this week, pretty excited to finally pick one up. Not the best player, but we can pretend it's 1998 and he is, right?
Third one in a row I let go by now...really surprised by the lack of anything interesting being listed the last few weeks. I thought with Spring Training and the season rolling around I'd start seeing more stuff, but I actually felt like I had better pickups in the offseason. Hoping that some...
Now that I look at the zip codes, I think this was definitely the case. My zip code is 85226 and that Idaho one is 83226 - it didn't even occur to me it might have been that kind of error, but I definitely think that's what was going on. Now i don't know if that's the PO punching in the wrong...
Glad to see I'm not the only one!
It's still moving, at least in the semi-right direction, so I do have some hope that it'll still reach me. But it has been at that same spot in Idaho for 5 days now, so I am starting to lose a bit of hope. Not a super high dollar card, maybe $30, but sure would...
I've noticed the PO having more and more issues over the last several months (they "lost" a justcommons package for about a month, most recently), so thought I'd share the current journey of a card that's enroute. I live in Phoenix of course, which you'll see it made brief stop in a couple weeks...
yeah I was going to comment on that, thought it was odd he signed in gold. I think I would've preferred a blue sig like the rest, but it'd be interesting to see in person.
Huge pickup for my Jay Bell collection! After missing out on the 1999 Bowman Chrome International Refractor I was pretty bummed but then this popped up yesterday. Been searching for a while!
Goes will with his buddy Steve.
I can't speak about the actual value of the diamond, but these sell very well, even for cheap players. I paid nearly $200 for my Daniel Hudson. Granted he has a couple hard core collectors, but still, that's a ridiculous amount for him, and that was after Hudson was already injured.
Good god. I literally can't even comprehend that price. Obviously I know how well Trout sells, but I don't think I realized it was at that level. What in the world would the Super fetch at this point? I just cannot imagine, no matter how rich I get, spending that much on one piece of cardboard.
I have the same problem - I just log out and log back in and it always takes care of it. Even though I'm pretty much always logged in and can bid on stuff, I'm usually signed out of eBay bucks within a couple hours.
EDIT: I didn't buy anything this time, been spending too much lately, but...
